"Only Good for Doubles" enters the Avatar state and wins the final game 11-5. Very overrated.

"Only Good for Doubles" refuses to accept her name and rather than lose 0-3, comes back to take it to the 5th... stay tuned...

"Only Good for Doubles" vs the Japanese Pocket Rocket. Wonder who will win... (don't let the names fool you).

Hayata the blocker again...

It is always unfortunate when the players pretend that the umpire is the first person to tell them their serves have issues,

Yeah, somehow that skipped my mind when I looked at their head to head. But it was long enough ago that I forgave myself. And it only got worse after that.

Well, I have always found Lebrun's tosses dubious, but like you said, in the absence of TTR, those calls can be brutal.

Sora spoke!

She played Han Ying for the first time at the German Open in 2014/2015 that Mima won in diapers. Han Ying won the first 3 games to go up 3-0, then Mima came back to win 4-3. She has never lost to Han Ying since, it is the most boring matchup in all of table tennis. Even matchups like Ma Long...

That's how Western arrogance starts. Then in a couple of years, they have built better submarines and planes than you can imagine.

Sun Yingsha has looked wrong throughout this event. And after Wang Manyu bowed out, there was really no pressure to perform anymore, let someone else take the stress of defending China lol.

The advertisers will complain lol. That's the usual refrain....

For the record, and not in response to you in particular, I am not against making serve return harder. I just want rules that umpires can regulate fairly easily. Even the toss angles are sometimes a bit tricky especially in the left to right parallel to the table, but as long as it is something...

Truls hardly hides the ball and if you watch the serve where he was called for verticality, one thing that Truls does that is different from other players is that he lets his none vertical tosses drop which is very different from most people who use a lack of verticality to toss the ball into...

Sathiyan was playing really well - Peng could really have lost that match. And this is a huge tournament for him.

Bummed out that Quadri lost a good match. He was there, but Harimoto went into the Avatar state and became more precise with the placements and switches and raised the spin level. Good stuff.

Yellow card was entirely fair - Harimoto was trying to control the pace of a Quadri streak. The umpires are making more calls in the Maverick Arena because there is TTR - players need to learn to challenge if they believe their tosses are good. Usually the umpires are right. Quadri has had...

"Only Good for Doubles" surpasses "The Chosen One" - let's hope the Chosen One returns to form and justifies her status by beating more Chinese players in singles...
