  1. Do you apologize if your opponent misses a serve?

After benefiting from a missed serve, the player said, "I'm getting better at those". Everyone had a good laugh.
  2. Broken/Cracked Timo Boll Spirit. Any Advice?

OK, let's say, woodworker. That should cover all the variations:unsure:
  3. Broken/Cracked Timo Boll Spirit. Any Advice?

As I said, your blade is an easy fix. The carpenter will probably drill holes on either side of the handle. Then insert wooden pegs.
  4. Broken/Cracked Timo Boll Spirit. Any Advice?

That should be a relative straightforward fix for an experienced carpenter. Stiga blades made in the sixties and seventies all had that weakness. Many many professional and advanced amateur users in that period reported broken blades. The thing is that once repaired, the blade feeling was...
  5. Should Ruwen Filus be penalised and suspended?!

I watched the match highlights and Filus expressed an unusual, for him, amount of agitation throughout the match. From this, I assume that something outside the match was intruding on his mindspace.
  6. Yinhe Kiso Hinoki 9 ply all-wood blade

    sounds interesting. who sells it?
  7. Dimitrij Ovtcharov Uses Pre-Made Bat vs TableTennisDaily's Dan!

I am not surprised at Craig's results. He's been retired now for at least a couple of years.
  8. Dimitrij Ovtcharov Uses Pre-Made Bat vs TableTennisDaily's Dan!

Not even close. There's a big difference between a strong amateur and a true professional even when their individual strokes are comparable.
  9. Dimitrij Ovtcharov Uses Pre-Made Bat vs TableTennisDaily's Dan!

Dan played better and Dima worse. So. The big takeaway is that equipment does matter:giggle:.
  10. The best revolutionary strokes recently adopted in the game.

My pick is more evolutionary. It's that short backhand stroke best exemplified by FZD and now used by most advanced players. I suppose we have to thank whoever trained ZJK for really making it popular.
  11. Ibrahima Diaw Training Tips

Darn! He gave away the secret about playing with 'lesser' players.
  12. Not again about boosting please

I admire the large amount of planning and work gone into the making of this video. Well done
  13. Best player for each ball era?

    Here we go again
  14. The best revolutionary strokes recently adopted in the game.

Ask a really old timer. It was heavily used in the early days of ping pong when players were copying Barna. Yes. The stroke is that old. Barna was very bh-centric and used the strawberry on his fh side and a sort of banana flick on his bh side.
  15. Not again about boosting please

I have deliberately not looked up the dictionary meanings, but from usage in my circles, these days git is more equivalent to a small level above 'grumpy old man'. Whiler 'rotter' as in rotten, is completely different. Rotter is more equivalent to 'charlatan' or dead beat dad etc
  16. Not again about boosting please

If one can afford the rubbers, blades etc then why not? We only live once. Think of those poor golfers and tennis players. TT equipment costs bear no comparison. So experiment all you want. TT life is wonderful😁
  17. Long Pips plus Anti User = nightmare opponent

This match is a couple levels below Andrea and the players are older. But at the same time it demonstrates the fight a normal player with normal skills has against an opponent who uses a bat with both LP and Anti rubbers.
  18. Looping

Interested in why you don't bend low. In my experience, LP players (not defenders) tend not to use high spin loops as a big part of their game. "What is necessary is to have the ball pass over the net as low as possible because the ball will bounce up about 80% of it maximum height." Depends on...
  19. Looping

Off the top of my head,Forms of topspin strokes: Flick. banana flick - quick shot with high speed. Usually over the table against incoming backspin or floaty backspin Roll - low spin and speed - lower speed and spin compared to flick. just after bounce or top of arc when over the table. Smash -...
  20. Anybody else's rubber struggling with the humidity?

Every player in the UK is laughing at that one, 🤣. It's better to say that humid conditions are different and you just have to know how to adjust.
