Timo and Dima are way too tired from the last World Cup just a few weeks ago. It would be hard for them to win again because the German Open has always been pretty competitive

I am not sure if they are tired. They went back to t2apac and played good number of matches there.

I though about policy changing because since the staff change we have seen more chinese players in every tournament where they sent players. They used to send the top players +2 other player to have a chance to prove (Zhou Yu, Fang Bo, Yan An, Liang Jingkun, Shang Kun were the the most frequently sent players), but nowadays they send even 4-5 plus players.

I'm not 100% sure on what the new coaching policy would be
but from history 2017 being a non olympic year, they would start experimenting.
So this is one of the world tours flooded with CNT players
i won't be surprised to see more next year, but from 2018 to 2019 it should be the main players, because they are fighting for Olympic and then for seeding for Olympic

T2apac this year, was a bit of a problem for national federations
The communication was made very late, and then only afterwards did some federation know it was "every month"

You can see the players are indeed very tired from it

The FZD/XX double I'm seeing now doesn't seem to be playing their A game. Unless strange things happen (which they do, but not very often) Harimoto/Kizukuri are cruising towards victory.

My tin foil hat being off, I start to see a pattern in Ma Longs demise, Liu Guoliangs exile into a fancily named labour camp, and this.

Ok, it's sealed. Yay for Hari/Kizu.

they also won 3-2 at the China Open, that was even more impressive
