Commissioned blade. I just love the clean look of Framiré. I also love the grain structure on Padauk, it almost looks like flowing lava sometimes.

Any other wood core closest to balsa that offers almost the same weight reduction for the blade? I think kiri's weight difference is bigger compared to balsa.

Yeah, 90g would be too flimsy for you. But I bet you could still do some serious damage with it.

Of the ones that I use, Kiri is the lightest after Balsa. But Kiri isn't created all equal. I have two species, Elongata and Tomentosa, Elongata is usually lighter and I have come across pieces with very low density, almost the same as balsa. On the other hand, Tomentosa tends to be heavier, and I have pieces that are even denser than Ayous.

In perhaps my best tourney performance ever, I broke a 95 g Nittaku Monoblade TTD member erm gifted me, then dug out a 84 gram Tibhar Akkad and went to town on opponents with it... I can operate great light but balanced blades too... but with all these blade makers making awesum 95-120 gram blades that nobody wants, sometimes Der-Echte is just out to prove a point and force feed those Quarter Pounders on jokers.

"Shimmer" - One of the blades I most enjoyed building lately. The owner had a clear idea of what he wanted, so all I had to do was to make it happen. The blade has a composition based on a Tibhar Techno Power Contact, a combi blade that offers a bit more control on the BH side. Very comfy AN handle with a "notch" on both sides to facilitate twiddling the racket.

Question: the word order implies that the handle is Asymmetric. I think it is the ply construction that is asymmetric though. Is it the handle, the ply construction or both that are asymmetric?

That's pretty heavy for only 5.5mm thick; is Cherry a heavy wood?

The blade was relatively light, around 62g. A third of the weight is on the handle, that's why the balance is so low.

Well, both. But the blade is barely asymmetric, just a different top ply. If you look at the third Pic you will see that there is a small rotation in the handle, the left side is lower than the right.

Cool. Thank you for clarifying. And yeah. So, asymmetrical blade plies because of the two different top plies and asymmetrical handle.

The shape of the handle is pretty cool. The grain patterns on the handle are also beautiful.

What would be the purpose of the handle shape? Did the person requesting say?
