Ito thought the match ended after winning game 3 in a best of 7.

Courtesy game for our host from China as a gesture of goodwill.

Well some colors need to be regulated against. I don't want to play against white sheets etc. The devil is always in the details.

https://cdn.vpn7.net/eu/2019/04/AGM_BoD_book_EN_2019.pdf
Proposition6 (3/4majority required)

Proposed by HKG, ITTF member association, and the ITTF Equipment Committee.

To amend Law 2.4.6 so to permit more bright colours than red for racket coverings.

2.4.6 The surface of the covering material on a side of the blade, or of a side of the blade if it is left uncovered, shall be matt, bright red on one side and black on the other black on one side, and of a bright colour clearly distinguishable from black and from the colours of the ball as defined in Law 2.3.3, on the other.

The implementation date shall be after the next Olympic Games. If the AGM accepts the proposition, the Equipment Committee will coordinate efforts in order to develop a list of authorised colours, with their specific technical limits. The specifications will then be submitted to the BoD in 2020, for implementation in 2021 (Regulations for International Competitions and Technical Leaflet).

Rationale:
As long as the colours of the two sides of a racket are clearly different and clearly distinguishable by the players, they should not be limited to black and red. However, the ball should remain visible on a racket covering. It is proposed to retain black as one of the colours as it helps players with deficiency in colour vision.

uhhh ????

Mixed Doubles, 2nd round, FAN Zhendong / DING Ning vs WONG ChuTing/DOO HoiKem ??? is that a joke ? looks more like a semi or a final

I see this as a good thing. Hong Kong is basically still China. This draw gives other countries an better chance at getting a medal.
Also, this draw wasn't intentional, it was done randomly. So it's completely fair.

With your type of logic, 2/3 of the teams out there are basically China

So we should draw the whole Asia in one half too
In fact, we should just seed the other countries higher up and get all Chinese to KO each other out in groups

You could just have stuck with the second part as Fan and Ding were unseeded and even are in the same half of the draw as Liu Shiwen and Xu Xin. The randomness of the draw and the seeding limitations are what they are.

Tokyo 2020 is to blame here. CNT never spent time on XD until it's become an Olympic event. So their ranking is non-existent.

Does ittf.tv hire people with streaming/sysadmin knowledge? I would gladly get paid to fix their stream better then they have right now... Some tables aren't even working 50% of the time. Slowmotion on table1 gives a laggy kind of sound...

Other than Day 1, the streams are actually better than 2 years ago.

Table 1 and 3 are straight from the satellite feeds, albeit downscaled to 720p.
