Alpha is thinner and more flexible, better for looping. Premium Contact is a bit thicker and feels more solid, better for mixed attacking. I thought the SGS handle fell apart rather quickly and didn't like the foam

Well, if you don't like Tibhar Samsonov Alpha SGS, you can choose the ordinary Tibhar Samsonov Alpha (blue handle, no foam).
Tibhar Samsonov Premium Contact is basically the same with Stiga Allround Evolution and Donic Persson Powerallround. Thickness is 5.9 - 6.0 mm with limba-ayous-ayous-ayous-limba.
