SILICA OIL TO PROTECT THE BLADE.

Have now noticed a latex glue bottle decomposing into two-part mixture of water and latex. It is a clear evidence of how much portion of water enters in the glue.
Hydrofobic lubricants are always necessary to protect outward veneers of the blade. What is the optimum one?

"Silica oil spray" is a very reasonable choice, for having no muting effect on the ball feeling upon impact. Again,
silica oil is a hydrofobic substance to repel free water in the glue. It makes me happy more and more every day.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the product igor is proposing for protecting your blade from water damage when using water based glue to attach rubbers. Any of you wood workers or blade makers? Would that WD-40 Specialist Dry Lube with PTFE actually protect the wood from water absorption?
