That's super nice to know. About sealing, in getting a new blade and I want to seal it. I have some andro free seal that a friend gave me, is it good enough or should I get something different, thinner?

I Just bought the Hurricane King AcB blade. It has Koto outerplies. Do I have to seal it ?
You don’t have to, but if you want to, follow this guy’s video:

Clear instructions and good enough.

If you have OCD like many of us, you can first use some sandpaper (grid 180) to round the edges of the wings for comfort.
After drying and hardening of the sealant, you can lightly sand the surface of the blade to enhance the bonding of the glue.

There is a kind of wood that should not be sealed, or I am wrong? @hipnotic ?
It's not only about the wood species itself, but how it was cut, dried, etc... As I've explained before. Some blades don't require sealing, but it's not always easy to judge.

kinda a basic question,
but does blade seal go bad if not used long time?? (I keep in a container box room temp)
like not good to use for sealing anymore - asking as I dont wanna damage my blade.

I have dhs blade seal bought 3.5yrs ago, use it for some blades - since then it was not used again.

test it first on another object, see if it hardens normally.

I's the contact with air that ruins it. Make a test on a regular piece of wood. If it hardens its OK to use,

Cheers
