I did miss the match after all. Here are the scores from last weekend's match:

Langstadt vs Bingen 6-4

Mantz/Klee vs Rakovac/Kuzmina 0-3
Schreiner/Morsch vs Shi/Mynarova 3-0
Schreiner vs Shi 3-0
Mantz vs Rakovac 1-3
Klee vs Mynarova 3-1
Morsch vs Kuzmina 1-3
Schreiner vs Rakovac 3-1
Mantz vs Shi 2-3
Klee vs Kuzmina 3-1
Morsch vs Mynarova 3-0

Very close match. Paranang was missing because of the Asian Cup. Mantz has become the coach for Belgian national team last year so I'm not sure how much she is still practicing. Schreiner and Klee winning both their matches was key factor. I found an article about Langstadt's Bundesliga teams dissolving and Mantz and the rest of the team were told right after the semi-final loss in the German Cup. So only two days before it became public. The team was shocked and some cried. There was also disbelief since it wasn't a financial issue which is usually the problem for clubs. The team wished they were told sooner so they could have found a solution together.

The next match is tomorrow at 3PM German time, Langstadt vs Weil. There is no livestream set up yet, but I will post the link if they stream. I will be at a tournament and miss most likely the first half of the match.

Missed yesterday's match too. Here are the scores:

Langstadt vs Weil 6-2

Schreiner/Klee vs Sozoniuk/Lachenmayer 3-0
Lupulesku/Mantz vs Riliskyte/Kovac 3-0
Lupulesku vs Lachenmayer 1-3
Schreiner vs Sozoniuk 3-0
Mantz vs Kovac 3-0
Klee vs Riliskyte 0-3
Lupulesku vs Sozoniuk 3-0
Schreiner vs Lachenmayer 3-2
Mantz vs Riliskyte 3-0
Klee vs Kovac

Easy win for Langstadt as Hursey was still in India and Toftaker couldn't play due to a wrist injury. Kovac, the back-up and daughter of Weil's coach, is 16 years old and only rated at 1200 so it was a given that Langstadt had three points safe. Schreiner was also in India, but lost early enough that she managed to get back in time for the match. Lachenmayer and Riliskyte got the two points for Weil.

There were complaints from Langstadt's department about the league's scheduling since Dachau already played five matches before Langstadt even started their remaining season. WTT is really a headache for the leagues as they suffer from conflicting schedules.

The next match is in two weeks, Berlin vs Langstadt.

Today's match has concluded. Berlin won both matches this weekend 6-3. Scores have been added in the post above.

Langstadt had good chances against Berlin. Paranang had game points in game four against Kaneyoshi, but couldn't pull through. Schreiner gave away a 2-0 lead against Griesel who just mindlessly tried to smash and punch every ball before I had to leave. Mantz really seemed not 100% focused in her first singles. I'm not sure how much she still trains since becoming a national coach for Belgium last year.

Today's match was more clear. Kolbermoor had 20-year-old Imaeda make her debut, but it did not go well. She lost all her matches. Kaufmann continues to have very good singles results and won both her matches. Unfortunately it doesn't matter if the rest of the team can't win their matches. It's a very young team, though. These last matches are just more important now for the play-offs.

There are two matches next weekend. Saturday Langstadt vs Weinheim and Sunday Weinheim vs Berlin.

Reminder that today is the next match at 3PM German time. Langstadt vs Weinheim. I haven't seen them mention whether they will stream and I will be at a tournament, but I will check in and post a livestream link if available. Weinheim basically has to win all of their remaining matches this and next weekend to get into the play-offs.

Scores for today's match:

Langstadt vs Weinheim 6-4

Schreiner/Morsch vs Chien/Wan 0-3
Paranang/Lupulesku vs Nguyen/Matiunina 3-0
Paranang vs Wan 2-3
Lupulesku vs Chien 0-3
Schreiner vs Nguyen 3-0
Morsch vs Matiunina 0-3
Paranang vs Chien 3-0
Lupulesku vs Wan 3-1
Schreiner vs Matiunina 3-2
Morsch vs Nguyen 3-1

Unfortunate end for Weinheim. They were up 4-1. I was on my way home when I tuned in after the break. Nguyen is young and inexperienced still. Schreiner was a tough match for her to win and Morsch was the U19 champion last year. Lots of backhand rallies as it is with women, but she couldn't penetrate the defense from her opponents and the forehand couldn't punish and getting frustrated and angry never helps. The stream stayed on one table unfortunately. Paranang had no trouble with Chien surprisingly. Schreiner got revenge against Matiunina after losing to her in the German Cup. Wan's match was heavily influenced by the umpire who faulted her twice for tossing not high enough. I didn't catch if he warned her before the faults. There was arguing, Weinheim's coach got involved too but you don't argue with the umpire. As an umpire I can see why he faulted her because both times it happened on the tomahawk she rarely uses. Her hand goes up quite a bit before the ball leaves her palm. It's a tough call. The second time it happened she just completely lost her rhythm after taking a timeout and lost the match only scoring two points in the last game.

The next match is tomorrow at 2PM German time in Weinheim against Berlin. It will be in the old venue again where my internet works thankfully. Livestreams have been set up:

Table 1
Table 2

Berlin might not show up with their usual roster has been announced. Some players will be at the next Feeder, there is also a Youth Feeder in Berlin that needs prep and one of their players is busy with private stuff. Weinheim needs every win to pull past Kolbermoor for the play-offs as Berlin, Dachau and Langstadt now are locked in and only one spot remains.

Two matches this weekend. Scores from the last match I updated live and can be viewed in the post above.

Saturday 6PM German time Bingen vs Weinheim (no stream)
Sunday 2PM German time Weinheim vs Kolbermoor Table 1, Table 2

The Sunday match will be crucial for both teams since they are both gunning for the last play-offs spot. Basically either team has to win all of their remaining matches to secure it. Weinheim is the favourite against Bingen and Weil so Sunday's match will be the decider for them. Nguyen will be missing for Weinheim since she is in Berlin for the Youth Contender. Maybe Trigolos will finally play again? She played for the second team recently. Kolbermoor will be there with the new Japanese player Imaeda as number two who underperformed in her debut, but that's not surprising with the new environment. Kaufmann will be there too obviously. Manager told me last week that he already had plenty of reservations from people to see Kaufmann play. Weinheim will also announce the team for the next season on Sunday.

Well, that was a short match. Thorough beatdown by Weinheim, but Wan had an extremely close match against Rakovac, was down 0-2 and every game was decided by two points, four in deuce. Sadikovic from Weinheim's second team helped out. I assume she will do tomorrow too. Final scores have been added in the post above.

I will be known as the forever late guy. The last match was a nail biter and worth a watch if you have some spare time. Final scores are in the previous post.

This week the remaining matches of the regular season will take place, four in total.

Saturday 2PM German time

Dachau vs Langstadt (no stream)

Sunday 2PM German time

Weil vs Weinheim (stream?)
Kolbermoor vs Langstadt (livestream)
Bingen vs Berlin (no stream)

Dachau and Langstadt will fight over the second spot for the play-offs which gets to choose where the first/second match of the semi-finals will take place. Sunday will be very important for Weinheim and Kolbermoor as either of them can still make it to the play-offs. Kolbermoor unfortunately will have to play without Kaufmann since her World Cup injury is more serious than expected so a draw/win might be tough for them against Langstadt. Weinheim is exptected to win against Weil, but a clean sweep would be preferable.

There has also been league and transfer news since the last match.

The league will finally consist of the "mandatory" eight teams next season, but there is a catch. Two teams from the 2. Bundesliga applied for the promotion, Fürstenfeldbruck and Engelbostel-Schulenburg. The latter is the suprise leader right after getting promoted and the former is currently second in the ranking with two matches remaining for both teams. Fürstenfeldbruck already announced they will aim for the promotion should they miss out this time and secured Franziska Schreiner and Chantal Mantz who both agreed to play 2. Bundesliga. Fürstenfeldbruck's manager also questioned how seemingly easy it was for Langenselbold to take over Langstadt's 1. Bundesliga license after many years of no team club wanting to promote.

In other transfer news:

Langelselbold signed Matilda Hansson who is currently playing 2. Bundesliga for Engelbostel-Schulenberg.

Hursey and Toftaker are leaving Weil, the former is going to France iirc. 26-year-old Andrea Pavlovic from Croatia will join Weil's team.

Kolbermoor's Kristin Lang is retiring after Sunday's match. She has played the last ten years for the club. Lisa Wang will also leave Kolbermoor as she wants to focus on school (she is 16) and play somewhere closer to home.

Weinheim signed Paranang and Qi Shi. Paranang will be back-up for Chien. Kim Seongjin will leave the team after one season.

The play-offs will start next weekend. Dachau vs Langstadt is already set.

Here are the scores for today's match:

Dachau vs Langstadt 5-5

Byun/Itagaki vs Klee/Morsch 3-0
Winter/Cosic vs Paranang/Lupulesku 0-3
Winter vs Lupulesku 3-0

Cosic vs Klee 1-3
Winter vs Paranang 1-3
Byun vs Lupulesku 3-0
Itagaki vs Klee 3-1
Cosic vs Morsch 3-0

I hope the Bavarian association recorded at least the Winter vs Paranang match and will upload it. Winter was up 9-7 in game two to four and went on to lose all of them 10-12-

Reminder that tomorrow there are three matches and will decide whether Weinheim or Kolbermoor makes it to the play-offs.

Will be nice to see what Paranang did that @zeio can use to buttress his case against Winter. Will also be nice to see what Morsch did vs Itagaki.

Today's matches have concluded. Berlin with a solid team only manages a draw against Bingen, Langstadt beats Kolbermoor and Weinheim doesn't give Weil a single point on the scoreboard. This means Weinheim pulls past Kolbermoor in the play-offs race. The four qualified teams are:

Berlin
Langstadt
Dachau
Weinheim

The schedule hasn't been released yet, but they kick off next week.
