agreeTrue. His Main Problem is definitely going to be the amount of up- and coming players with Chen Yuanyu, Huang Youzheng and Wen Ruibo.
I do think, that the CNT is sharing investment fairly equally besides their main prospects. Li Hechen could become one of them as he already gets special treatments in U15. But he is more likely to jump onto the main team when Liang Jingkun gets too old. Most younger mentioned players will probably not get heavy investments since Lin Shidong is already up there. But as I said, only 4-6 players will get the chance to play Main Events.
3 Spots are taken already by Fan Zhendong, Lin Shidong and Wang Chuqin. For the next year Liang Jingkun is also safe due to current WR.
That makes Xu Yingbin competing with 3 very strong u20 youngsters, Xiang Peng and probably still Lin Gaoyuan for at most 2 spots on the A-Team in 2025 (Ma Longs spot, and currently Lin Gaoyuan is in defense)
If we take a look at the January line ups for WTT. Exactly this race is now on. CNT sends
Xiang Peng, Xu Yingbin, Chen Yuanyu, Huang Youzheng, Wen Ruibo
along with Zhou Qihao (who also might still make the team for 1 or 2 years but imo rather unlikely)
Whoever is getting above Lin Gaoyuan and into the top 10 first is going to be the winner of this race. As soon as someone reaches the necessary seeding, it will be very hard for others to take his place. The high seeding for Top 10 players not only opens up easier routes to points in main events it also allows access in general, while other players will more often be restricted due to NER, and if they do get a Wild Card, the draw can still be critical.
Lin Gaoyuan has the head start with his seeding but is in my opinion too shaky at the moment so he might still drop out in 2025.
