Poor CXT. She was the other one, beside WYD, that blocked Hirano from the WS at Tokyo 2020.

Like WYD at WTTC 2024, fate had decided to give Hirano the chance to avenge the pain she went through in the most dramatic and ironic fashion.

Czech Open 2019
QF Hirano 4-3 LWS and SF 4-1 Ishikawa, her first international wins over both

CM otoh is working on her skin care routine at home.....

Chinese fans on tiktok, of course, will never admit that
Well
CM’s Commericial Value sky rocketed after Paris
I guess if SYS took Paris, she wouldn’t have this lost at attc

I think SYS had a sense that she was alone out there. With WMY's suddenly having to leave and CM's absence, she didn't have them to help her fend off PRK and JPN. At the WTTTC, she knew that CM had her back when battling Japan. The SYS fans (the toxic ones) that were bashing CM should reflect on CM's value to the team and treat her accordingly. CM is getting her well deserved break.

Took this from reddit.
I mean, Ma Lin is a tactical god, I wonder why so much hate towards him as a coach, this can't be right? Chen Meng kinda won Olympics. May be the players are to blame, not solely the coach?

Context:

When fans were screaming “fxxk off Ma Lin”, he did this:

If that were the case, Yoshimura and Matsudaira would've been playing instead. They need the points. SWE is WR4 and ahead of them by 112 points.

WCT is not playing for HKG in this match. Same for IRI, where Alamiyan is sitting out out of their 7-8th match. It's those two teams that don't care.

so sorry that CXT had to play straight after landing.
sounds familiar to so many players, but, not to Chinese fans for CNT players, haha

I mean, there are 5 players in a team for that very reason..... no 6 had to play straight after landing and that becomes a main point. Maybe CNT should bring on traveling reserves

I wonder how many teams didn't have fitness training, medical staff, training partners.

Well, the job of head coach for CNT isn't easy (as well as JNT since they get bashed on so often)
Love Ma Lin as a player, he shouldn't become head coach as CNT has reached its heights and maintaining the same won't give glory but any drop, then you a looser. There wasn't any one else... sadly

Seriously speaking, not many teams treat ATTC serious enough

MT SF
CHN 3-1 KOR
M1 WCQ 3-1 Oh Junsung (5, -10, 3, 4)
M2 LJK 0-3 AJH (-7, -11, -1)
G3 111
M3 LSD 3-0 LJH (4, 6, 4)
M4 WCQ 3-1 AJH (-8, 8, 9, 6)
M5 LJK vs Oh Junsung ()

LJK is useless when it counts.

Is Harimoto depressed or something?

No cho'ing after points won. During towel breaks he's still at the table just bouncing the ball on the table. What's going on? Lol
He's probably just feeling lost. It can happen when you're playing so unexpected poorly and you don't know how to fix it. The ball this tournament must be really different, don't think I've ever seen one with so many shocking results. I think it really shows who can adjust the best and quickest to different playing environments.

I think its from the loss yesterday
its very difficult to play for losers spot
motivation is always tough, you see it often in 3rd to 4th place matches.
To turn from losing/sad mode to fighting mode over night requires additional strength. No different to WCQ mode in Paris where winning, to angry and can't adjust to fighting again

WCQ had to fight in the men's teams in the Olympics after that loss though, and he didn't drop a match there. He also had a very bad loss against Iran but hasn't lost another since, and he sure as heck was under pressure after LJK's loss. I was thinking it's mental against Faraji, but now I think it's probably just the ball. Like SYS he probably just isn't someone who adjusts quickly to different playing conditions. He also doesn't have the most stable technique, so he's gonna go through some rough patches throughout his career unless he manages to fix it.

My theory on why CNT perform badly in ATTC,, Astana:

1. does not give ranking points hence is just a practice / warm-up session only. ( latihan je, takyah serius sangat )
2. No prize money hence is just for exercise only ( setakat keluar peluh je )
3. After Olympics and China Smash, did not have enough rest time. ( tak sempat balik kampung jenguk keluarga, terus main lagi, aduhai lah!!! )
