And Harimoto said Ri Jong Sik was top 10 material...

Will see how it pans out for him in XD.
one crucial detail I noticed from Ri and Ham Yu Song, they lack a clear snapping action of the forearm which prevents them to have an advantage during short countertopspin exchanges. They overhit a lot of forehand loops from Alan and Kiril

That could be a sign and hence aftereffect that the men have been practicing for XD (their only event for Paris 2024) where the women handled the short range.

Another interesting point. @Tony's Table Tennis often mentions how much prep the Chinese team usually gets with tournament balls and the tournament hall. Apparently this tournament is using seamless balls? Also the flooring is slicker than usual. Following so closely after the China Smash these players couldn't have had much time to get used to either (even W32 and LGY made it to the MD finals). Maybe they're not used to not having such special privilege.

when WCQ loss 19 points on the trot, I thought he isn't stable

it is obviously he is now in a very bad mental patch, and the previous "loosing long points on the streak" is evidence that he isn't as great as we thought he was.

opponent just needs to wear number 32 and a finger pointing "you" and he will probably have some internal challenges to over come, or even a picture of a broken racket... or say even a strict umpire calling his serves.... i don't think he can over come this easily

Iran shows that on a good day, they can give MT top seeds a run for their money.
Japan is a victim
Taiwan managed to survive
and just imagine if LSD loss that, and behind 0-2 going into the 3rd...

Japan's side.
Harimoto is again a lone wolf.
2 points need to come from the top 3
