I can't watch the vid right now, but I can advise you to put your forfinger on your racket(you say bat but I like racket ) and this could also help you a bit on smashing .
Lile been said, I didn't watch the vid because utube is not accessible in where I live, but I don't think too many people pay attention to it. So, you can keep it in mind. It also helps even against under spin or side spin.
