The Chinese National Team have released the list of whom will represent China at the London 2012 Olympics. The men's team picked is Zhang Jike and Wang Hao and the women's team picked is Gao Yan and Li Xiaoxia.
The coaches have made their decision however it's not certain that these players will play in the games due to things which may happen in the run up to the 2012 games. Chinese Sports Director Liu Fengyan explained the selection process whilst Liu Guoliang emphasized that its still uncertain who will play.

The ITTF's President Adham Sharara introduced the new ruling for the Olympics where each country can only send 2 players into the singles event. The Chinese believe, and so do many other table tennis enthusiasts think that this new rule has been set in place to stop the Chinese clean sweeping the Olympics.
Lin Fengyan said “According to the ITTF rules on Olympic qualification, the federation will officially announce the final list of players who will have direct participation in London in accordance to the June 1, 2012 rankings”.
Liu Guoliang went on to say that anything can happen in the space of a year. Therefore the four players are still not certain for direct entry until the ultimate list next year.
Liu said that the World Team Championships is the key tournament for us next year before the London Olympic games. The players will have their ultimate test there and the coaches will get to see which athletes are in the best condition and who has the best role in the team and most likely to attend.
