I'd recommend Yinhe Pro 05.

From what I saw people describing the Q968 they should play about the same.

Great Quality and Handle on the Pro 05.

I have same issue on the Forehand with Viscaria, I just can't get it right consistently.

Good balance between Backhand and Forehand on Pro 05.

It costs around ~50 Euro/USD.
Wont hurt to give it a try.
Where can i get YINHE PRO 05 ? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your explanation. I am thinking of getting the Q968.
PROTT has this..2024 DHS new product DHS Offcial National Q968.
Is this the Q968 you are talking about? or a different one.
Please let me know.
Thank you in advance.
Yes, mine is a national Q968 from ProTT. I also have a player edition W968 from ProTT that is in my view the best balanced 968 of the three i have (by far)

Just got my national Q968, 89.2 grams, close to listed of 89.0. I'm not gonna play with it just yet, but a couple surprising findings already. First the handle is a bit thicker than the national W968, similar to a provincial W968. Second, the frequency is only 1250 Hz, much lower than expected. The fit and finish is the best I've ever seen on a DHS blade. I'm actually tempted to play with it without sealing it.

I'll post more findings once I play with mine.

Very nice - congratulations. Mine is 92g and 1359hz (same as my S) whereas my W is 91g and 1409hz but slightly thicker at 6.1mm vs 6.09mm - maybe because it is a player version and made stiffer? It doesnt feel faster when playing.

Interesting!
Are these national, prov or commercial?
It’s clear w968’s outmost limba layer is thicker than on both Q & S.
Q & W has the same core thickness, while S has thicker core but with same outer layer thickness as Q?
They’re all national (W is a player version)

W definitely thicker outer as you say and has a softer feel. S has thicker core and carbon is closer to the outer, which I can feel.

Would you mind telling me your current personal opinion of these blades? I’ve read this thread a few times, but opinions and feelings can still vary over time I’ve noticed.
I’m a bout to order a national Q or W, leaning towards Q.
I’m went from Viscaria, to FZDALC, getting softer and softer, then found the Hayata H2 and fell in love with ”w968 structure”, but I’m curious (EJ’ing) about the best blades in its style, 968. Im still missing a little power on backhand from the H2 compared to viscaria.
How much better can a blade be, and how the forehand and backhand feels on W vs Q.
Is the backhand ”better” on Q?
Those kind of questions are in my mind right now.
Feel free to elaborate.. if you want!

So, by way of context I have previously owned a provincial 968 that was good but not great, and also a couple of Long 5 and a 5x. All of these had things I liked, but none were keepers. I had a Xiom TMXI and also a Hayata H2 that were good but not great. I found myself migrating back to the Viscaria’s I had previously played with. I then came across a used Hurricane King and loved it, hence the start of this journey.

So the Q and the S arrived at about the same time and I spent a few months trying them with various FH rubbers (H3 / D09C / C55) They both felt good but the Q felt consistently safer and more controlled and generally I played better with it in match play. It was slower and less dynamic but the S kept calling me, and every time I used it it felt more dynamic and certainly closer to the feel of the Vis.

After a few months of playing matches with the Q I was ready to let the S go but would pick it up again and realise it had more of everything than the Q and the cycle would start again.

I then got an opportunity to buy a player edition W968 and have had that for about 2 weeks - in short, with the same rubbers (H3 / Rakza Z) it has so far been the stand out blade. It has the softness of the S with the control of the Q and, to me, the best feel and dynamics of all three - obviously it is early days so this is by no means the conclusion. I have a good friend I practice with who is a better player than me and he would choose the Q every time. My W may also not be representative given that it is a player edition and may not be std spec.

In summary - all three are very very good and have good balance and feel, the handles are all chunky and feel nice in hand. They offer good control around the net and good speed when you hit with commitment, they all have good feeling when playing but I would say the Q is the least exciting and dynamic but the safest.

I also have a Donic original senso and that is a very nice blade indeed of a similar style.

None of these have the backhand responsiveness of a Viscaria or the stability when blocking - but all of them are better suited to my topspin oriented game.

Not a technical review so may not be what you are looking for, but I am a feel based player and so far the W feels the most like the blade I will stay with. Having said that, any of these blades would be wonderful if that was all I had to choose from - none are anything but great. Mine are all on the heavier side (91-94g) which I prefer and build up to 193-196g with the H3 and Rakza - none feel heavy to me.

Please feel free to ask any specific questions and I will do my best to answer.
