Yes, I’m also tempted to try as for couple of months I have been playing with T rubbers (t05/19) and like them much. But on the other hand i own also 2 sheets of H3N BS Prov 40* (2.1 and 2.15) and I’m really curious if I grew up to use them 🤣
BH is the other case as whatever I use from esn/tensor suits me but not to hard

Hi all - will post here as I know there are a few threads on this topic but wanted to share my first impressions of these two blades. I have played with the Q968 for over a week and clocked up around 20h + as was at a training camp. The S968 I have played for around 2h so early days, but I did compare directly last night at my training session.

Both blades weigh the same and have almost identical rubbers - T05/T05fx on Q and T05/T64fx on S. Total blade weights within .2g of each other at 186.4g. The 64fx is slightly lower throw and a little more dynamic so "may" be having an impact, but regardless and despite these two blades clearly coming from the same family and having the same construction, they do play a little differently.

At this stage I cannot say which one I prefer playing with or play better with although I have played singles and doubles in both drills and matches with them.

So where do they differ..

1. Handle - no doubt that the S handle is larger and more substantial which feels different in hand. The Q handle is bigger than the King and regular HL5 and is not too small, but the Q is more solid all round. Balance - the S, with the bigger handle probably feels more balanced and slightly less head heavy than the Q, although both feel very well balanced.

2. Speed / Dynamics - the S feels slightly faster and more lively all round than the Q. The BH is probably where this was more apparent (may be influenced by the 64fx so need to consider this) but there is no doubt that whenever I swapped back to the S that it felt just that bit more dynamic and with a more penetrating arc.

3. Control - the Q feels like a slightly safer and more controlled blade and is probably more in the W968 domain than the S, which to me feels like it leans slightly more towards the outer carbon feel than the Q. It is however still very much an inner blade with the characteristics you would expect from this construction.

4. Spin - edge to the S here, the extra dynamic and speed seemed to be reflected in slightly more spin and penetration on the ball for the same effort, but I need to spend more time with both to really clarify this.

The bottom line is that these are both great blades and I enjoyed playing with both. At the end of the evening I had found myself enjoying the safety that the Q offered whenever I picked it up - but I spent more time with the S overall and found myself drawn back to it time and again because it just had the edge in terms of fun to use.

I wouldn't be surprised if this changes as I play more matches and seek consistency, but let's see..
Great review thanks Wrighty. I am planning to order a commercial Q to save money. Hopefully the performance isn’t too much worse than the Q968

I will see if I can find any of my club mates to try Hurricane King Wang Chuqin. I am only considering Long 5X because it felt really good and comfortable when I played it. Far more control in short game than my FZD and forehand felt way more comfortable while backhand was only a bit better on FZD than Long 5X. Also on prott, Wang Chuqin is $160 compared to $138 Long 5X
Long5X is really good, stick FH: H3 blue 39 2.1mm and BH: Tenergy 19, no regret, cheaper, save money.

So my club mate just sold to me a used provincial W968 at a very good price ($200 CAD). Will put my trusty Prov H3N Blue and D09C on the blade and update with my thoughts
I hope you like it a lot - let us know once you have tried it.

Right guys, I have played with my new Provincial W968 for a few sessions now. Great blade my short game control improved massively and I am way more confident in swing full power for my FH. Compared to my previous FZD ALC, i just felt that the butterfly blade was too quick for my forehand and I overshot the table a lot with it. But with W968, I can do full swing shot and land it with ease 9 out of ten times. For the BH, the W968 with 09C works very well, only slightly worse than on FZD imo. It felt controlled and safe, although i do need to put slightly more effort in to get a good backhand shot. Overall, highly pleased with Provincial W968 and hopefully will get a provincial Q968 as an alternate soon once i have more money again

With a pinch of salt, taking into account OG result it’s good that I didn’t sell my FZD ALC 😀 Seems that instead of playing with Q968 nat, I will take my BTF blade again 🤣🤣🤣 or EJ will kick again and will be looking for a good offer on Cybershape 🙈🥳🤦🤣🤣🤣🤣

The WCQ incident is a blessing in disguise truly it is. Now, I can delete one option from the list making the decision making process down to two option: W968 or S968.

If ML step up his game and win Gold for the Team event, then it will be even easier to choose.

Hi today I had a chance to play for the first time (full training - 2 hours) with Q968 and boosted H3 Neo BS Prov 40deg 2.1mm (1 layer Sueke on the sponge, 2 layers regular Haifu, 2 layers Sueke), and Hammond Z2 on the BH.
Side note: I'm playing TB ZLF with Tenergies for a long time and yeah I'm Tenergy Guy!!!!!!

Long story short, Brick remains the brick, no matter how many layers of booster will be applied!!!! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

You can roast me now :D :D :D :D (DHS Fans!!!!! )

When I switched to Z2, (hold my beer darling!!! ) I was back on the track, feeling, spin, power.

Jokes aside... I'm created to play with tensor/esn rubbers and maybe I would adjust to it but it would take me a long time. Is it worth it? No.... I'm having a fun playing TT, and I know that this would frustrate me for sure.

I really take my hat off to those who are playing with H3 (or related) and have a fun as this is so much demanding.
If read, "this rubber is to sensitive to the spin on serve receive" wtf!?!?! Such sentence doesn't exist in my mind so I don't know what they are talking about. Playing with T05/T19 I've a full control on the ball, can play drop shots, etc. Recently was playing with some combo player (long pips on one side, inverted on the 2nd one), he checked my blades before we started, and during the match "how are you able to control your short game so much with these rubbers?" He couldn't get over his admiration.

The worst thing is that there are nobody to whom I can give this blade with H3 Neo to check it. I mean the heavy H3 users, who knows these rubbers and can provide me with the feedback, I like, do not like, something is strange, maybe you did something wrong (assembling it) then I would you know what to expect.

Nobody, nobody in my club is playing Chinese rubbers, everyone only uses Tenergies, Tibhar Evolution, Xiom Vega/Omega (Pro/X/ Euro), Nittaku FastArc series.. so I'm the one who brings "exotic stuff" to training and there's only "wtf" what did you come up with again?

Ok, I'm thinking about the famous C55 Xiom to give a try on this Q968, but if it will be missed again, I think it is good to apply oldschool, f***ing fast and bouncy T05 :D hell yeah!!!!!:devilish:

Has anyone experienced a significant weight difference between, what is shown on the label of the box of a DHS W968 and the real measurements?

I received one and Box is showing 87,0 but my scale tells me 91g. The blade looks fine, but I‘m suspecting a fake blade.

If you didn’t unwrap the film, i think it adds some weight to it. Maybe try unwrapping it and weight it. You can always use the DHS anti fake test that is found online

Do you think, the wrap is 4g?

Not sure how Anti-Fake test works. Where would I find the serial number? Under the sticker?
Currently Iˋm able to return it, for a full refund. I‘m sure the seller (e-bay) has no clue, what he was selling, so he might be scammed himself.
