Yup DHS #15 is the best, though for glue AliExpress seller uses different type of delivery and it's around 1.5 months of waiting time...

Tried Skyline TG2 Blue sponge 39 degrees boosted with 2 layers of seamoon today. It's like TG2 comm. OS but better in every way - more consistent, I feel more confidence playing with it, spin is the same or a little less (plenty enough).

That was my student's training though, so I wasn't playing many top spins myself, will journal more feedback here when time comes, may be in video format even.

For the DHS crew - I want to give Hurricane another go and try. Im thinking H3 39pov on FH and H8-80 37 on my BH. I tried H3N commercial and was ok, but was a while ago and I want to try it again - I am just missing that real spin you can generate that I had with D09c previously.
So my question is - is there a big difference from neo to regular H3 and hardness wise are they good initial trials?

Just to add - prob go on my TBS as im not using it

Neo was factory-tuned. Thats it! If you purchased the regular one, you have to boosted it by booster or Haifu glue 3-5 layers (2 for blade, 3 for rubber) unless it is just hard dead rubber and you quickly feel disappointed and sell it.

Commercial is infamous for its poor QC. It costs $20, might as well go for provincial OS at $33. Much more consistent sponge hardness and more lively. If you buy a Neo H3 provincial OS at 39 degree, it's soft and lively. You can play it for a few months before boosting.

Some differences can be found here (sponge hardness)
https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/fo...v-40-v-41-how-do-they-play-differently.32198/ but 39° is always a good starting point.
Neo vs non-Neo? Good question I don't see much if any difference but I boost every H3 I'm using. Biggest difference I've seen was between my (probably older) Nittaku H3Neo Orange Sponge (NR-8701) and my other commercial and provincial H3 and H3Neo. The Nittakus are glossier and tackier. If you've watched WTT Frankfurt you might have seen the close-up of Sun Yingsha preparing to serve at 10:11 in the third set (
) The NR-8701s have this kind of tackiness but not my other H3s.
Other differences: Sponge uniformity especially after reboosting: NR-8701 same as provincial (at least I didn't feel any differences) and both are better than commercial.

Do you mean Nittaku H3 neo still has tacky topsheet while the DHS hurricanes have not-so-tacky topsheets anymore?

At least that was the case with the Nittaku H3Neos ordered around January 2023 and my other H3s that I bought in January and May/June but I'm not sure if they have the same tackiness as Sun Yingsha's H3. I don't have these DHS WTT (DJ40+ WTT) balls to test that but I know from some league matches that even the cheaper DHS balls afair D40+ work better with tacky rubbers than Nittaku Premium. Will see how the next Nittaku H3N batch is in around January 2024 ;)

Hi TTD Community and DHS Fans,

I need your help!!! :)
I am going to unpack my brand new fresh DHS H3 Neo Prov rubbers and finally use them :D
2 things, had a bad start with my 1st attempt of Chinese rubber STN BS so I'm totally newbie in that matter. I'm from those who would like to be well prepared and do something later not earlier and to not correct it in couple of days.
Boosting and gluing chinese rubbers is the long term process so as mentioned above would like to do and 1st attempt good, to not re-glue it or something.

as for FH rubber this is H3 Neo BS Prov 2.1mm 40* hardness. At first I will put 1 layer of glue, waiting until it dries and 1st layer of Seamoon Standard booster. Will leave it for 24 hours and tomorrow I'm going to put 2nd layer of booster, wait next 24 hours, and then 3rd layer, wait 12-24 hours, layer of glue and on to the blade.

as for BH (and for this one I'm not sure because H3 is not commonly used on BH) this is H3 Neo OS Prov 2.1mm 37* hardness. I would the same operation as above for FH BS rubbers, but not sure how many layers of booster should apply? Is 3 layers not to much? Maybe I should do only 1 or max 2 layers?

Ahh and the blade will be Joola Freeze HRD, structure is the same as Viscaria, outer layer alc, and stiff Koto on top.

Your advice will be much appreciated. Please feel free to correct both FH and BH process described above.

Thanks in advance!

You shouldn’t have to boost the BH rubber. At 37 degree it’s really easy to hit through. It also means the risk of overboosting is high. Overboosting means you soften the sponge too much and it becomes mushy and unplayable.

If you are new to boosting, I recommend you to boost your FH rubber with two layers just in case one of the layer is thick.

1st layer of booster after an hour. It looks promising 😃

let me know how it plays bro! I ordered an OS Hurricane NEO 39 in degree provincial from AliExpres but it came as 40 degrees. I checked the authentication code and it was legit tho! so i'm happy lol. Got it from HWSport and it was on a super sale so it came out to $32 after tax (free shipping). Took almost 2 weeks to arrive. I won't be using it for at least a few months though because I just put on regular h3N on both of my paddles less than a month ago.

Sure, I’m gonna order couple of sheets on 11.11, OS Prov black is also on the list

It's already enough, you'll see - the pimples moderately visible, top-sheet elastic. 2nd layer not really needed, well, my opinion. Cheers!
Maybe indeed one will be enough🤔 seems to be fresh and fabric boosted. This is how it domed after 6hours after applying booster
