I have using it on backhand too a lot of times, I had D09c both sides on a few blades. Whatever if you feeling that it’s not working for you - just change it to something softer/controllable.

There is a plenty of options in these category. But if you find hard to control D09c I don’t think you need something like D05 to be honest. Something is telling me that G1 will suit you better or the other one not as fast/hard tensor as D05🤓
I’ve tried both D05 and G1 and I liked D05 more. The top sheet of G1 feel rigid and hard and I didn’t like it. D05 was an excellent spin monster and had great speed but I used it many months ago when my level was weak so I couldn’t control it. Now that my level is higher I think D05 would be better since it’s softer than D09C

Is there any video of your level of play available?

D09C will last many months (probably even a year or longer for people playing twice per week or less).

My D09C sheet looks awful, but it still spins, grips and does everything I need it to (it's been on for 6 months now).

D09C is different to most other Butterfly rubbers in that:

1. You really need a fast racket head speed to get the most out of the rubber.

You may have been OK doing slow spinny loops initially, because it has a certain amount of "tack" on the rubber when it's brand new.

But generally speaking, if you aren't playing shots with a fast arm speed, you will probably find the rubber feels quite slow and poor.

2. Brush not hit

Slaps, punches, flat hits..... They are all possible, but less optimal than brushing the ball.

If your backhand is flatter, you probably feel the rubber is too hard and slow?

It's not an ideal rubber for the backhand unless you are playing fast topspin loops more often than not.
I do play loops on Bh but sometimes block too, the high throw angle of 09C doesn’t really help in this way

The only thing I can think of where G1 might have an advantage over D05 is in flatter and control shots. The flat and control shots are why I still want to try D80. I probably should also try Tenergy 19, but in no rush, will take my time and will probably never try it since it will be a while almost a year before I need a new backhand rubber.

I had Tenergy 19 on my backhand for a while before changing to anti. Now I also feature Dignics09C on my backhand and feel most comfortable. I have never received proper coaching and very little teaching I have received, but Dignics09C (despite its hardness) feels just perfect for my backhand, when I use it on it. Tenergy 19 is weak compared to Dignics09C for me. With Dignics09C I can generate heavy rotation and control the ball well.

During the season (September to April) I’ll use it twice per week, playing 4 matches each night (3 singles and a doubles), with an average match length of…. 20 mins?

So that’s 160 minutes per week for matches, and then I’ll have some tournaments at the weekend as well.

I change my rubbers long before they need to be changed (I change every August and January).

The brief moment I hit with D80 on my BH felt the same. I honestly think D80 is easier to use than D05, it’s less spin sensitive and its speed is ever so slightly better than 05 at top end. 05 is spinning more and higher arc than 80, but some may not like that. T19 was a rubber i have wanted to try too but i have been reluctant because of the durability of Tenergy rubbers (at least compared to dignics) and that it might bottom out for me. Butterfly rubbers in general are the best but are getting too expensive for me, so I am trying out Xiom rubbers now (gonna get O7P)

Sorry to go a bit OT, Omega 7 Pro is a great backhand rubber, you won't be disappointed, it's light and high performing. I'm sure T19 won't bottom out unless on BH you hit rockets  I also wanted to try T19 on my BH but it cost 60€ vs O7Pro 40€ so...there is no reason to buy T19.

Yeah the high price of Butterfly rubbers is why I’m switch to Omega 7 Pro. Yeah your right, I probably won’t bottom out T19, idk why i said that haha 😂
