I think I will need to get 09C for BH definitely and maybe the FH on my Super Vis. Need some more speed for the block and also find it very difficult to loop backspin no matter how hard i hit upwards. Will the higher throw angle of the 09C help with looping under spin or do i just need to change to a regular ALC blade (I have the FZD ALC lying around to use)
I cant answer that question. Only tried 09c on viscaria.

Hello players,

I'm using dignics 05 on my backhand and I think it's fantastic on the cybershape wood, but I would like an even more controlled rubber and I know that the 09c has this characteristic.
However, from the reports I saw here, the trajectory and arc with 09c is high, and I want to understand how much compared to the 05.

Can anyone with this knowledge to help me?

It depends on your technique.
I, as the B2(extremely low throw in comparison with any euro/jap rubber) user, don't find much difference between D05 and D09c throw angles. For me both have the same medium high throw

I'm using 2 new rubbers to test and find the best option on backhand: dignics 09c and hurricane neo 37°. Today was the first touch with them and it's so powerfull, especially the 09c (sound = crac, crac, crac)

I'm starting to play better with D09c. It really doesn't grab the ball consistently with a brush stroke, so I find that you have to hit through with a forward motion and open racket face. If you already do this naturally, then I think D09c suits you. But if you have a more brushy loop like me, then this rubber won't immediately work for you.

I think ESN hybrids suit me better, and Chinese hybrids suit me even better.

That is something I never understood well. Most people who play Dignics 09c around me tend to have a more brushing technique. I often told them to hit the ball with an open bat angle. Looked at me as if I would tell them the opposite of a good idea. Of course you can brush with Dignics 09c, but I always liked more to hit through it. That also flattened the arc gave the ball more pace.

Thats one of the advantages of D09c you can hit through or you can brush - depend on a stroke you perform, for example if you looping downspin or counter loop you can only use topsheet if you want but also you can hit harder to activate spring sponge x, when with softer rubbers its better hit through the sponge more often for the same kinda strokes to gain more control, stability and quality.
Plus sticky rubbers are just better for brushing i guess.

Funny that people used to say brushing is European style and hitting through the sponge is more Chinese. Now it's kinda other way around :)
That's not how I remember it but that said, at the highest levels, these things tend to blur anyways. But hitting through the sponge has always been how non-tacky rubbers get their best spin while tacky rubbers respond to brushing, the main difference as I remember it is that tacky rubbers tend to allow you to hit then spin (change the angle while looping) while mechanical rubbers usually require you to set the angle earlier since the ball feels like it is on the rubber much more briefly and the angle to control the spin needs to be a bit more precise.

there were tons of forum debates like a decade ago
I remember them well. And I feel that the same misunderstandings between discussees prevail.
Why. Well there is no official definitions of tt terms. So people use terms like brush based on their own experiences not realising that others are misunderstanding the terms as used.
Basically, sometimes people argue over stuff that they actually agree on.
If you see what I mean 🤔. I think.

I do plenty of flat hits on my 09c. works wonders. but it kind of feel like it was MADE for the brush strokes.

Did you find it too fast with super vicaria?

I saw a review and the player said that the SVIS was slower than the regular VIS, elevate longer stay time ... 🤔 FZD ALC is very similar to VIS too !

So I never had 09C with Super vis, just H3, i didn’t find it too fast but I found the low throw angle wasn’t helping me on my backhand at all. So I want to test to see how the 09C’s high throw angle is on FZD ALC and if it’s too high for my liking, will switch back to Super vis

I am just curios does anyone used 1.9mm thickness sponge 09c. How does it compared to 2.1mm
I have used both of them. The reason of using 1,9mm was theoretically you get a bit more control with thinner sponge, however for me it worked other way around. With 2,1mm I get better control and more power in my strokes.
I believe it depends also on the blade and how fast/dwell time it is. I always use very fast blades, like Butterfly Amultart, Donic Crest off etc and with them my feeling is that I get better overall game with thicker sponge
