Of course they do, even Schlager is still sponsored by Butterfly. Players like Primorac and Korbel, Persson. Tokic is a prominent Tibhar sponsored player and I don't know if he's ever been top 20. There are tonnes!

Great stuff getting sponsored Eric this sure will help you :) Whats your ranking in Australia? In the UK there are quite a lot of sponsored players outside the top 20 who receive some clothing and equipment each year. I've had a few friends sponsored by local companies which is cool to help pay entry fees etc.

i'm one of the top in my nation, (Australia) and I get sponsored $500 per year from Butterfly equipment :)

Come on over to live in Korea. If you live here and play regional and national tourneys at the level I think you play, you will get sponsored easily. heck, you could take over Korea operations of the KFTTC when I leave Korea and focus on expanding to Koreans living oversees. :)

Getting sponsorship isn't actually that difficult nationally. You can get sponsored by national agents without too much hassle, they will sponsor rising talent and those with good results. It's when you aim for sponsorship with the international company itself that you have to have a bit more of a proven record or an outstanding talent :)

Some friends of mine that are not even on a national league from my country are sponsored by Joola.
They play regionals circuit!
They play pretty well,at long time, but just now started to play federated.
But at a momment, they paid to a Egypcian guy that was contrated from a club near me to play at seniors(2nd national league here),and train the kids over the club.
The contract from the Egypcian went over, then my friends contracted him to train them (lol),and that guy was sponsored by Joola,so i guess was by him that my friends got the sponsor.
