I still prefer the super-duper trampoline effect of ESN rubber.

for BH T05 is the king. My guess is that T05 is extra grippy and useful for generating open ups and flicks. Attributes that are desirable in the modern offensive play-style.

It really doesn't matter. If you are a looper and will use inverted rubber both sides any setup is fine. Whether you get coached from the beginning will matter a ton, also how much deliberate practice you do. Relative to those two things your choice of MX-P vs dignics, or TB ALC vs fextra, matters not at all.

If you are going to be a chopper or blocker, play a junk style as they say, then you get a whole other universe of choices.
