I agree about slower spinnier rubber. Chinese rubber like H3 soft or Battle II is good. So is Mark V or Rakza 7. RPB is a bad stroke for flat hitting and punching, the body mechanics make the flat hit very unstable. RPB is most suited to looping -- it would be much better for your development if you get a slower rubber and learn to hit spinny shots with RPB. You can still hit fast with RPB, but you need to have spin as well to stabilize it.

If you want to flat hit, just play shakehand or TPB.
