Was rather surprising that Timo didn't give the ball away like he usually does. Good thing that game didn't end like 16-14.
He didn't see it so he had to defer to the official who was right there and had a good angle but made a wrong call.

Current state of affairs re European Women
Podium age 40, 36, 56, 2 penholders and a chopper, all non-caucasians.
Where is/who are the next generation?
Still, a hurrah for perseverance and dedication to the 3 “seniors”, very inspiring.

Polcanova, Solja and Szocs are all young, Solja should really have been on the podium and Szocs as well. Polcanova has to work on her game vs choppers when the match gets tight.

anyone noticed that Boll twiddled quite often in the final match? Prob he was testing a new rubber?

I did notice that - seemed quite odd. I don't figure he was testing new rubber in a major event finals. I went back and looked at the match with Vladi, and I didn't see him twiddle at all in that match. Must have been a specific thing against Groth. Love to see some of those NexrtGen stats and a report of how many shots were taken with black on the forehand or red on the forehand, and how many of those were won/lost.

Not another dispute over the ball hitting the net, then the net clamp before going out. Point should go to Shan Xiaona, not Partyka. Seriously, we need video challenge asap. What a joke.
