Help a newbie out on some questions on my setup

I am ultra beginner and am trying to learn technique from YouTube.

I am gonna buy from alibaba is what I’m thinking.

Here’s my thinking on setup

Loki Kirin 5 blade.
Loki Arthur china fh
Yinhe moon 12 blue bh

I am gonna get them to assemble and then send it my way

Here are my questions.

I saw lot of posts about people boosting LAC (@Attitude ). So is it good advice to boost these two rubbers? Would it wreck the control for a beginner?

I have tried moon 12 blue and love how it forgives mistakes and is very controllable. I also heard Loki telson 100 is very similar. Now that Loki telson china and Germany were just released, how are they?

I am slightly over 5 feet so (I think) for fh, I need a rubber Which has an arc instead of flat hitter. Kind of thought this when playing with Jupiter 3 Asia, as I have to hit little higher and its flat trajectory kept sending the ball out. I heard LAC has better arc and much better control than j3 and hence would be better for a rookie. Any thoughts on this?

IMO get a different blade.
Yinhe U2 ask for a light one at around 90g.
This is the best budget blade you can get. And quality is superior to many more expensive blades.

FH Yinhe mercury 2 medium
BH Yinhe Moon 12 medium soft

Im not a Yinhe fanboy per se, but U2 is the most used beginner blade. Mercury 2 is easier too use than Arhur china, but still plenty hard and tacky for a beginner. Moon 12 is a great choice. Both don't need booster.

Telson 100 is harder to play than Moon 12. IMO not a beginner rubber.

If you're an "Ultra Beginner", I think you should focus on learning the technique first. LOKI - Kirin K5 is a nice allround blade, but pair it with the Sanwei - T-88 III training double rubbers to start with.

Personally I dont like the quality and feel of these cheaper Loki blades. I have the k1, k6 and k7.
Yinhe has better quality overall.

The U2 will be a little faster solid all+/off-, better sweetspot, better build quality. It pairs well with many rubbers, has nice feel, medium flex.

One more q on u2. Does it vibrate kinda when ball hits the bat? O mean like is the touch feel good enough to find our where in bat it hit?

If you're a beginner, you don't need to boost Arthur China.

On the backhand, Telson China would not fit a beginner. Telson 100 or Germany would be good, but I think Telson 100 would be better, less prone to undergo opponent's spin (very dubious guess from me though).

As mocker said, the choice of rubbers does not really matter, your training will do it all.

M2 way easier to play, softer, slower, higher trow, bit more bounce on medium strokes. Also cheaper. You'll switch rubber regularly, so don't overthink it. If you don't like it, try something else in a few months.

Feedback on U2 is good. It will vibrate on stronger shots.

as a ultra beginner without a coach (youtube does not replace this at all) you should not use the Loki Arthur China because it is simply to hard for you to properly engage. The result will be no spin in your loops and you probably rather lobbing the ball over.

you simply wont have the acceleration and even feel for the right contact to play it properly. You can think about it in 3 or 4 years, but not right now. most possible case is you will try to generate power with weird strokes, because you dont know how to use your body yet.

You can't go wrong with any of these. In fact, you can keep using them even as you reach intermediate or higher levels. They pair well with many rubbers as you progress.

1. Butterfly Sriver
2. Yasaka Mark V
3. Xiom Musa
4. Xiom Vega Intro

You can use the same rubber on both sides, but if you want to mix, put the harder rubber on FH and the softer one on BH.

Yeah not going for either…

My problem is that o had a disastrous time gluing rubber and glue is so costly in my country plus china imported tariff so wanna get something and use it for atleast half a year to one, so can’t keep experimenting. So I keep feeling picky

That’s the thing. I am gonna buy from alibaba, there’s 40% tariff, and my last gluing went bad so will get it glued by seller. I want to use it for 6-13 months unless it wears out. So can’t keep experimenting with many

there is no reason not to order from tabletennis11 the tariff would be the same according to grokh

No way.
If they were €10 each you could make a case for them but a €40 a pop they're an absolute waste of money for anyone really interested in learning and improving, those rubbers will be outgrown so quickly.
Better to spend €15 on Yinhe moon 12 blue and a decent $20 FH rubber.

Dont boost lac at all. The risk of destroying that rubber is way too high, and not even needed. Lac is already strong as it is. Boosting it wont give you much if anything at all.

Aside from that im with the rest, that lac and loki blades arent that beginner friendly. If you are serious about tabletennis, get something decent in terms of quality and learn the game.

Bh rubber is fine imo and can stick with you for quite some time.
