I just watched Hitomi Sato play Wang Yidi and have to say that was the most impressive defensive performance I've ever seen !!! Wow what a player!!! 2-0 down and come back to win 3-2 she was like a brick wall incredible defence!!! Maybe defence can make a comeback!!!

Her great performances recently gets her a coveted entry into the China Smash. I'm also very much looking forward to seeing what she can do in the future.

She did say in a post match US-Smash Interview that she looked at Hashimoto and Han Ying’s styles when she was asked about her strategy against WMY.


What a year indeed for her. I hope she can make it back into the Top 10 again.

Probably in the past. Currently, Honoka Hashimoto is using Nittaku H3 turbo and Do Knuckle.

Only other Japanese woman that I know of that's beaten Ding Ning twice is Mima Ito.... so a very exclusive list.
