Yep. It is interesting how, the higher level players are not really criticizing and the LOWEST level player on the thread is the only one who can't let that stuff go.

Something else to understand, when you only get fed nice, easy, high quality balls from a coach, it is possible that you will not develop the ability to adjust to random placement. With a coach, often you are given balls at a predictable placement so you can improve your shot quality.
That has value. However, at some point you have to move on to random placement because in matches, your opponent is not trying to give you easy shots to simply return. A player who is decent enough will be making it hard for you to take the shots you want.
That video with the practice partner who can't control where he is hitting the ball, one positive thing it shows about PHSandro is that he actually is good at adjusting to different balls. If you watch match play from Gozo, you can see that he could actually learn something from PHSandro. Not only does Sandro move better, he adjusts to random placement much better. But giving Gozo his due: if someone messes up and gives him a big fat, slow high ball, he can smash that ball into oblivion.
@Gozo Aruna : a question: how is your play against tricky serves these days? How about your skill at reading spin on the ball? When you play LP players these days, how do you fair? The last time I looked at footage of you playing matches, those were all things that you could work on and if you improved those things, your level would jump up. Have you been working on them?
