I can agree w/ that. Just keep it on the table and let the other person find ways to earn that point.

In my country, if we are winning a set 10-0, we are used to -generally- miss the last point so to not beat the opponent 11-0, but 11-1...

Yeah man,I agree,I don't like 11-0.

We call it 'professional courtesy' to give a point to our opponents. Most of the times, we don't have to wait until the last point of the game. You can make it 'easier' for your opponents to earn a point at 8 or 9 before finishing them off. We should never 'give' an outright point to your opponents, say by intentionally missing a shot or serving into the net for example. It's an ungentlemanly conduct. That one point, they have to earn it...you just making it just a lil easier for them to attack and earn the point.

I'll give the point, but try to disguise it, so it doesn't look like I'm doing it on purpose. Otherwise I feel is a bit condescending.

I'll give the point, but I think its a stupid practice. If I get beaten 11-0 i don't mind at all. I think giving the point is actually disrespectful. Its pretty much saying you look down on someone so much that you think they are not even capable of fighting for a point, so they must be handed one for free.

I know that when I play someone capable of beating me 11-0, I want them to play 100%, that is what makes me interested and teaches me the most and makes me try hardest.

To me it depends...While I always give the last point, some people dont.....Also some people find it offensive that you gave them a point(supercup 2011) ....What I was surprised to see was that once during a match, an opponent was extremely upset that my friend had won the toss and opted to receive serve....Is that something that happens often?

I think it happens regularly. If your opponent starts with the service, you get to serve at 9-9 in the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th. So it can give a big advantage at crucial moments. I don't see how someone would get upset about that though, it is completely normal and legal xD
