I don't think this contradicts what Loopadoop pointed out. Sometimes, what worked against a player in the past doesn't work when you play them again. I don't think it was all about level, it was about accepting that he had to do more. He wasn't going to beat KK in that match just exchanging balls.

Sure you expect opponents to improve but watching ML's trend the past month struggling in Japan Open and not looking himself in Korea, it's not about his opponents level.
