CIRCULAR LETTER TO INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS of ITTF EQC Committee.

There is a great deal of work to do in short time at the EQC side. It is all due and overdue.
— We need some further revision to the technical docs to the good of the sport.
— We need to start the novelty mini detector to prevent illegal boosting on rubber.
— We need to end breeding of the bastard rubbers that come out on market under false tradenames.
— We need to label all the sponge materials with the "identification prints".
— We need to deploy friction control on the pimps-out rubbers in situ, as part of the existing racket control program.

Are you ready?

STANDARD COMPOSITON of the IDENTIFICATION PRINTS. EXPERT ADVICE.

-- Yes, the "factory identificator" imprinted on sponges is a brilliant idea, indeed. We favour it so much. Thus, umpires can easely check out if sponge was replaced illegally. The ITTF number must be the same both on topsheet and sponge/
ITTF 12- 005 as seen on topsheet ---> ITTF 12- 005 as seen on the sponge attached. Identity is PROVEN.

ho, ho, ho I like it so much. Cheeeeeeeeeers for ITTF.

-- Also, we strongly suggest that the "sponge production date" should be there as well. We dont want to get 10 y.o. sponge with impaired properties instead of a good product.

Yes, we going to join with ITTF working group to give our thoughs face-to-face. Let the revolution begin.

I agree with that but how are they going to check that?
Are they going to check all rubbers before they stick, just before a match has to start?

Dream world, or I mean, side effects from consuming high alcohol content drinks.

The "sponge" talk has been going on since 38mm days.
The ball has changed 2 times since then.

It is very impractical to check anything other than the topsheet.
even the topsheet print can be "correct". Who is going to check the pip structures underneath the "correct" top sheet.
Who is trained to check, and who has the equipment to check.

Lots of rules, but not one person outside the ITTF lab has the capability to check

If a print on the sponge (which is 100 times easier to fake than topsheet), is the solution, then, that is really funny.

For me, the talk of the next generation is reducing the wood content on a blade, as required by UN 2050 sustainability targets of which ITTF has no choice, or risk blade import bans in EU very soon, and ousting from the IOC. This is going to be another major changer. Not some 30 year old sponge debate and putting stamps on the sponge as a "wow" (yawn).

............and that will not where it will stop.
After both sponge and top rubber have been checked by the central scrutinizer and duly stamped and certified, all 3 items, namely sponge - top rubber AND the player will have to be locked up in a cell .
If not, we know the all-cheating bastards will otherwise secretly and cheekily substitute the certified sponge with a magic quintruppely boosted one, the filthy swines. 😂

Young learned lady, citizen of Lebanon, just took over the ITTF EQC office. It is first time that ITTF called out a practicing engineer having decent competence of rubber materials. God spede you, dear.

Just took over? Rita took over in 2021.
Rita a former table tennis player (national champion), with her last international match in 2015. Rita is a civil design engineer by trade.

Paul was chair prior to Rita.
