Sorry for making confusion. If it just practicing together then it is simple. But in this case it is not. French TT team and Korean TT team cooperated one or two weeks before WC (or even before WTT Incheon?) and let Felix played regularly with Korean players. I do not know how deep the cooperation was, but it seems unsual because they can be rivals in big tournaments such as WC or WTTC. Normally, only some small countries with poor facilities and low level coaching plans need to send their players to stronger countries for advanced training.
Has Mima Ito changed her backhand pips? It seems like she has something a bit more disruptive and can slow down the ball significantly on some blocks...

Maybe she's buggling her opponents with the new Bugller pipsHas Mima Ito changed her backhand pips? It seems like she has something a bit more disruptive and can slow down the ball significantly on some blocks...
Which is more likely to you, An JaeHyun improved enough in the last few months to play Felix better or the knowledge gained from practicing with Felix enabled the Koreans to figure out what makes his game tick and how to play him better, leading to closer matches with both Oh and An?It all boils down to perspective. What you said can easily be valid from the french pov also, are the koreans better at studying players than the french? How so? Since the ruy/joo and oh sang eun era, korea men's team hasnt break through yet. They didnt produce a lebrun or a harimoto, so I really dont see how exactly it was a "mistake"
Exchanging knowledge and being suspicious of your opponent are both different POV's if you ask me
The swedes, persson waldner etc, put cameras in the chinese camp just to irritate them. The camera's didnt record anything.
So a laid back chinese player could say " im better than them, let them record me all they want"
and a suspicious one would say " those f***ers, I wont play my best in practice so they dont evaluate me"
Can you try and guess which one of the two chinese falls straight into the mind trap???
I analysed too much, all am saying is, the practice you mentioned was not a crucial or deciding factor.
If indeed there is a case like that then the french coaches and lebrun brothers are not smart enough to assess such a situation...but you are smart enough?![]()
Look, see what Harimoto's mom told Harimoto over Mizutani's criticism after Paris 2024. You have another person to convince here.Does Mizutani have a WTTC medal? Yet you argue he is entitled to tell someone else what it takes to win one and that it was the least they could do? If he was criticizing Hayata for a bronze in Olympics singles, that is a bit different, but he didn't do better than that.
Absolutely the second one.Which is more likely to you, An JaeHyun improved enough in the last few months to play Felix better or the knowledge gained from practicing with Felix enabled the Koreans to figure out what makes his game tick and how to play him better, leading to closer matches with both Oh and An?
By the way, Felix in his post match interview spoke repeatedly about An's play bothering him in subtle ways and he was often getting things he didn't like even though he didn't feel bad. Give that some thought. Though you are never short of an argument so I am sure you will just say it was smart coaching that was inevitable without the exposure.... there are reasons why the Chinese leagues sometimes restrict foreigner participation in critical years.
imo it is all of them together, to work and some times a bit of luck too.Absolutely the second one.
You notice people's tendencies when you practice with them. You notice the difference in quality when you give them certain balls or move them a lil bit.
I noticed most of the S.Korean men players now have a really solid and strong forehand. For example AJH, Jang Woojin, and some other younger players which I don't remember their name. Only a few players out there could outplay them when it comes to a forehand-forehand counter rally.an jaehyun is really fun to watch, some of the back table forehands today were crazy! im happy to see him succeeding , hope for a good match versus hugo
Ahem...yes but in terms of experience and character, non of the CNT member is anything special right now.
wang chuqin proved to be mentally unstable in the olympics/asian champs and lost to hugo
lin shidong is too young and lost to hugo
lin gaoyuan chokes and liang jingkun is a beast but he is not the smartest guy out there
In the wang hao wang liqin ma long era, none of them lost to a foreigner in consecutive tournaments in the same year. So the analogy is not so poor.
Please also remember you're quoting a league match that is of little significance. Using a league match to prove a point, man... Remember Kallberg?
