Ishikawa: That's so right, it came down to my poor luck and not my poor level...doubles is always somehow a lottery when there is not a huge difference in level
That's one of the reasons why I hate this BO5 + 11 points per game format, in the 90's era you knew who were REALLY the best pairs. More points per game left a few possibilities for luck to affect the final results.Ishikawa: That's so right, it came down to my poor luck and not my poor level...
Joking aside, just what I've always said about luck and Mizutani concurred.

A pair with a romanian and a spanyard, just what I was talking about...MD R16
Harimoto/Matsushima (4) 2-3 Ionescu/Robles (9, -12, 4, -9, -9)
I don't want to blame Matsushima, but Matsushima, Matsushima, Matsushima... How hard is it to keep the ball on the table?

They were a bit behind many pairs in Europe since + Japan and South Korea in WTT tournaments. They are just paving the way for their youth like Gauzy is doing now with Poret and Coton.the 2019 silver medalists in this case, not their upcoming talents
