That's silly how Germany is now struggling that much to get through the earlier rounds of those tournaments. It's definitely the european major nation now entering into a dark era, while France and Sweden has re-emerged. And Poland + Romania will also emerge as big euro nations too, with probably Spain taking Portugal's place with their new youth talents. There's a complete re-shuffle of cards in Europe.

Ishikawa: That's so right, it came down to my poor luck and not my poor level...

Joking aside, just what I've always said about luck and Mizutani concurred.

That's one of the reasons why I hate this BO5 + 11 points per game format, in the 90's era you knew who were REALLY the best pairs. More points per game left a few possibilities for luck to affect the final results.

T2 Harimoto/Matsushima (4) 2-3 Ionescu/Robles (9, -12, 4, -9, -9)
I don't want to blame Matsushima, but Matsushima, Matsushima, Matsushima... How hard was it to keep the ball on the table?

MS R32

WS R32
T2 Harimoto (5) 4-3 KKY (8, -5, 6, 7, -8, -8, 3)
