Great adjustments against SXY by Hayata there. After being successful playing high pace and "flea-like movement" SXY adjusted to it and won rallies holding the table to get ahead 2-1.

Hayata started playing slower and more high arcing shots and won the next few games with SXY being too early with contact and sending a ton of balls off the net or long. SXY was also jammed up by long floaty pushes deep to her body. SXY was primed for fast reactions and Hayata took just enough pace off the ball to make her have to hesitate and mess with the timing.

Very intelligent play from Hayata. Though obviously she's always been able to make these sorts of adjustments and play intelligently to get to the level she's at.

Nah she is dumb and hits the ball mindlessly according to the experts. You must have missed something even though we all saw her beat Wang Yidi with similar changes. Trust the experts!

WCQ and LSD is not Ma Long and ZJK imo
and also can't match that of Wang Hao, WLQ, Ma Lin

so I feel it is a bit of both.
1) the world has caught up
2) it is very difficult to be another Ma Long or ZJK

so the gap has narrowed from both sides
See ? we've upgraded the guillotine with semiconductors :devilish:
