waldner .. forget baltimore ... even in California there are pockets where there are players with bloated ratings. I happened to come across some in our saturday league ... see the way I treat the situation is .. at the end of the day you know ... how good you are .. who cares about the rating as long as you can beat the guy when you play .... personally I think the 1800-1900 rated players in the south bay area ( where I play ) is a good hurdle to cross .. there are so many good coaches around and so many up and coming kids here that the ratings are pretty true if not under rated compared to other places
