2AM the mission is over, Goon Squad management of the place kicked us out. Took 20 minutes to say goodbyes.
I got a lot of good friends who would come out on a work night to meet me and help me have fun.
They put up with me being cranky in 2 games I got upset at loud noises when really I had the bad attitude griping loudly about noise. They get it, I didn't good friends they are.
PP Holic had great touch and I couldn't touch him. Sure, I was zombie out for 2 days before I even showed up, but what the heck, that never stopped me before. Good skillz by PP Holic.
Even better is this NYC Goon Squad brotherhood of TT players really has it going on in NYC, good stuff.

OK NYC Goon Squad Member #1200 (see what i did there ttmonster? ; ) with an AAR (After Action Report):
Good was the table tennis, better was the laughs/chat/fun, best was the NYC Goon Squad brotherhood/love/support that assembled at the secret target site to go on another mission with Der_Meister!
Deepest gratitude to Captain Carl for organizing a most successful NYC Goon Squad mission! Was surprised to see Lt. SmashFan reported for the mission. Capt Carl deemed that on a need-to-know-basis and if he told me earlier he woulda hadda kill me. So Private OSPH is still alive and ready for the next mission.
Lieutenant SmashFan, Lt PingPongHolic, Sgt 42andbackpains, and I chatted before we got a table. Capt Carl arrived stealthily and coulda killed the 4 of us... i was negligent in my sentry duties
We started off with a pitcher of beer, french fries and poppers awaiting the triumphant return of Der_Meister to NYC. Capt Carl and Lt PPH went on a recon to escort and protect Der_Meister from the Goon Squad tracking him. True to form, Der was able to navigate successfully to site passing, escaping the trailing Goons and via walkie talkie informed Carl and PPH that they were looking for love in all the wrong places as he passed them by and they didn't notice him!
After chat and food, we proceeded with the mission plans at 23:10 (11:10pm). Played for ~90 mins when we were kicked out and all of us said we could keep playing!
Good TT! I was the weakest link there. Capt Carl and Sgt 42&bp way above me. Der, SmashFan and PPH easily the best of the best there. It always amazes me that good players have "the eye" and able to see my mistakes and gave me advice. I didn't play in 3 weeks or so. Totally playing old long strokes with a fast racket/bouncy rubber which needed the shorter strokes and meeting the ball earlier.
No ventilation there, we sweated profusely. Have some video... didn't remember to clear out some movies i had on my phone for commute to work/home. Ran out of space. Also, bad angle, not ideal venue to film.
Drove PPH and 42&bp home, got home at 2am... showered and hit the sack at 2:30. Woke up as a zombie and came to work to report in Will upload vids tonight.

I had martial arts prior to the Goon Squad mission and had filmed some of our sparring. Duly noted ... will clear up space when Der is in town.

A few memorable shots I recall (most likely not captured to video though
)42&bp - wicked FH/BH loops ... i'm thinking i can block them and let him loop only to be proven time and time again, don't let him loop lolol
SmashFan - many FH and BH smashes! think i may have met someone who loves to smash more than me
PingPongHolic does a Liu Guo Liang pick attack ... when i saw it though my kneejerk reaction is a 'superman punch' from MMA. Many wicked fast FH loops that just takes off
Der - many Rambo loops as well as BH down the line
Carl returns a Der Rambo loop! (i believe i have video) - also wicked loop to 42&bp -- think i have vid also.
I had a very lucky punch in doubles ... ball was high, for whatever reason , i didn't step around for FH smash, but punched it. Also had a lucky deep angled 2nd ball push in doubles.

Those are legitimate hangovers you are seeing. That is just after my daughter left for her theater camp. Der got to meet my daughter. But he didn't get to see that she is as much of a troublemaker as either of us.
He did get to see that, as soon as he started talking about TT, she ran away without a second's thought about protocol or hospitality. She flew out the door and Der's penchant for talking about TT may even have gotten her to the rehearsal for her play on time.
And that freed Der and UpSideDown to deal with TT equipment.
Our location is quarantined area #4.01 in the labyrinth of the secret hideout: code name sector 13.
