Liam Pitchford jumps to 54th in the world

The new rankings are out and following his great run at the German Open, Liam Pitchford has jumped from the 120s up to 54 in the world. Great stuff! Does anyone know if that means he will get automatically into the main draw of the top tournaments now, not needing to do the qualy groups?

Depends on the tournament. The 32 highest ranked players are seeded and if Liam is one of them, then he is seeded.

But I think it isn't about seeding or main draw, but rather that Liam is doing great and if he can continue to improve - so what about qualifications and prerounds


His time in Germany is helping him (training with the top players in the world)
From 50 to 30 is difficult, I think he can try and aim for 30
