Sure i compared with other ESN/jap rubbers. (Joola CMD, Thibar mx-d mx-p, quantum x, Fastarc g1, Donic M1 M2, Acuda S1, Xiom Omega, rakza 7,etc) Also with Tenergy, And bounce/grip its pretty familiar, i think blade & sponge hardness change the overrall feeling (even between ESN offerings, for example i found G1 & AED closer in feeling than either of them to Rakza7 soft, M3 or Rasanter42😅)

But i dont have "old stock" AED to compare with mine. What i can test its consistency/ quality control when i receive my last stock, since i ordered quite a bit of AED both colors👌😎🏓
Thats incredible that Loki learned the ESN technology. loki can now be the ESN for the entire Chinese market. They cN start making rubbers for Sanwei and Yinhe and DHS and Friendship.

I was thinking about getting AED, but i have so many ESN rubbers already, so maybe i can just skip AED if its so similar to G1 already.

Do all Arthur rubbers use the same sponge tech?

I shared that video on my instagram😎🤣, quite good but some Opinions were a bit strange or i missed something on translation. Sadly they tested only on a "slow" blade. I concluded similar opinion about the grip & Overall speed, but i tested mine on W81, Korbel JP & finally with a thin layer of Seamoon on Loki V9 (still in use, great topsheet durability, quite better visual look than LAC even In black🤔)
Is this review for Europe or Diamond?

He says it is 53 or 55d. And it shows to be tacky. Sounds like Europe.

Its Europe diamond, he tested tackiness since its "chinese rubber" but it doesnt have tackiness. My AED was "tacky" while first glued after i removed the plastic cover, same as in the video, but it lasted maybe a minute, after hitting some balls & first clean its completely non tacky.

Interesting he Says Black has a bit More forward speedy angle & Red has a higher Arc? I cant test this until i have a red AED to try it hehe

But he says the rubber has no catapult. So is it similar to ESN?

I wouldnt go that far jaja, reality isnt that simple. But its nice chinese factories are catching up or innovating with different sponges technology.
That seems to be the opinion of chinese amateurs on Billibilli (they want to support domestic products)

Also dont take my word as a definitive answer haha, even i sell Loki & try to introduce the products on my country but i wouldnt go to a player & Said "this replaces your G1 or your T05" we are still testing a Lot, gathering Opinions of different players & levels, doing "blind tests" etc. i dont personally use G1 to give a More indepth opinion, but quite some players i compete with use it so i played with it in various opportunities.

About ir all Arthur uses the same technology i cant confirm, i could ask More info if necessary just to nerd about.
On Loki making rubbers for other company i dont know if its possible or logical. But Business comes first. We can only watch how it develops😬😂

We could never know, Maybe DHS and ESN un their negotations shared some secrets to develop hybrids & the Loki CEO used His contacts to obtain them hahaha🧐😂😂

Well my practice partner just ordered Arthur Asia and Arthur Europe for the Aliexpress anniversary sale. So Maybe I will test it soon on his blade.

I think we should relax and wait before making any big assumptions about the large World of TT rubbers.

We dont really know much for certain yet.

And until Loki decides to put up their prices, we can continue to make such good Deals for rubbers and blades.

We can essentially get a 90% replica of Viscaria + 2xD09c for less then 50% of the Price.

Many people in my Club and area are saying that they would like some carbon fiber blades but they think that it needs to cost upwards of 130€ which is obviously way too expensive.

And only a couple people realistically believe me when it comes to these Chinese Variants.

Their ideas are:
If it is cheap, than it cant be good.
A good new hybrid rubber most cost at least 50€ and it cant last long and a good offensive blade at least 90€ and much more with carbonfiber.
Carbon fiber blades are way to fast for me and my level and I could never play with one of those.
Cheap Chinese = Bad.

I am simply grateful for having discovered the non-european ways of table tennis.

My test with aed felt really bad for bh and i am capabale to make good use of lac. For me it felt too dead and really unresponsive in little strokes. With full bh swings it was okish but still felt unstable for me and feedback was weird so i couldnt really learn and get used to it.

ofc im just having fun nerding & making theories of the behind the scenes (i now even have access to some information which its nice)
Its true what you Said about predjuice about cheap or even chinese products. To help with that i just lend players my bats without saying anything then i explain about the Brand & Prices(they always get surprised about that) since i play with R3 pink that gets quite a few looks for the Lovely color i people ask to test it 😅❤️ It also helps when i perform good at local/regional tournaments or when beginners that i sold equipment do🏓

Well AED is way harder so i would say definitly yes. Softer rubbers are usually bouncier or at least feel that way as long there is no fancy technology in it that helps it being tensory...
So while moon 12 feels like a better and more controlled vega europe, aed feels more like a hard unboosted version of h8.

Maybe its technology comes more to the surface on fh side, but that was not its purpose for me

Remembering a post from awhile ago regarding manufacture of rubbers, it wasn’t that simple, maybe 4 or 5 specialist companies involved, most brands outsource the various stages of the process, maybe the only BRAND to do it all themselves Is BTY.??
DHS, 729 have factories, but are these factories just putting component parts together?
It’s similar to a BMW or other car manufacture, they DON’T make EVERYTHING, BUT THEY PUT IT ALL TOGETHER!!
From what I understand , ESN do the whole lot, sponge formulas, top sheet formulas, vulcanisation, making the sponge, cutting it (both sponge and top sheet), gluing top sheet to sponge Etc this service comes at a cost, and Europe is plain and simple expensive compared to other parts of the world.
When I first heard of Loki, maybe 3 to 4 yrs ago, Loki was virtually unknown in Europe, I don’t know how long they have been in business???
I heard that the Original Arthur series was made in Germany, packaging confirmed this. Later addition of LAC may be different, the sponge is orange, from memory, and I could be wrong, the 1st 3 Arthur rubbers Asia, Europe, and Europe Diamond all had black carbon cake sponges, with varying pore sizes and hardnesses. I thought that Xiom’s black sponges had been used for the Arthur rubbers??
This wouldn’t be a surprise as this has happened with other ESN made rubbers, Perhaps Joola Golden Tango and Tibhar K1 (to Nextlevel‘s surprise!! & mine!!) they are extremely similar or identical!!
Are the Arthur series (all 4 of them) now made in another country?? Anyone bought LAA, LAE or LAED recently? Photo of the latest packaging as confirmation would be good, as well as photos of the 2 LAC varieties (orange or green packaging) Country of manufacture should be on it somewhere.

I got confirmation from loki sales agent that All rubbers are made in their factory. All the samples & stock i got dont have "made in germany" anywhere, also they have an updated logo on the sticker with information, barcode etc.
The factory tour video shows what it looks like a really advanced modern tech based factory.

Pretty cool video. Amazing is the wonder of Chinese capitalism.

I see them measuring the rubber hardness for QC, but how come my Loki rubbers are never the H41 that I want?

While AED Is quite firm it doesnt feel like H8 to me🤔...i should record some bounce tests, maybe today i find the Time...
So i made a (non scientific) bounce test just for fun 😅 :geek: ...On hand AED feels firm but bouncy, played with it Both on the FH and BH & flip test it with LAC on the other side. I must say it has decent bounce, not that hard to open up vs underspin, drives, blocks, punch & pushes... i could play fine with both, i like LAC feeling a bit more due to stickness but AED as i remembered has really good grip...
I compared it with Tenergy 64/25, Boosted (Really soft) Bluefire M1 & also Rxton 9 to provide contrast as a Tacky hard rubber. Sadly didnt test them on the same blade. I must say M1 feels so soft its quite strange to use, i didnt like it at all. Tenergy 64/25 while having a pronunced catapult felt a bit more clear on contact. AED quite similar, good clear feedback & feeling.

Video just for fun since perspective plays a role on how it views...It goes T64-AED-M1-R9. I must say bounce felt pretty close between the rubbers (Clear difference was R9 & M1 on hand feeling)

Is the new Telson going to replace AED? Or what is the reason to have both AED and Telson if they are basically similar to Tenergy?

BTW $18 for a Tenergy clone is pretty good
why do you say AED Is a clone of Tenergy? I never Said that🤣
i dont think Telson 100 replaces AED since they Said its More of a Japanese style rubber (sponge & topsheet) about Telson 100zz i dont have much information yet. But i dont think it Will "replace" anything, just another option.
And for the reason, usually they want to sell & make money🤑😂😂😅🤷

Well not an explicit clone. But you said that it has similar bounciness as Tenergy. So 1/4 the price for similar bounciness is pretty good.
