Ma Long wins the Chinese National Championships!

18 TabeTennisDaily members guessed correct on the poll. Ma Long is the new Chinese National Champion. The unstoppable 22 year old is in the form of his life right now and has currently won four of the biggest major tournaments in the previous 2 months.

The Chinese National Championships is regarded as one of the biggest table tennis tournaments in the world and the Chinese head coaches see this as an important tournament of the year. Will this have an effect on the selection process for the Chinese coaches?

On the 8th October 2011 the Chinese National Championships Mens Singles final began with two of the best players in the world. The final was fought out by world number 1 Ma Long and reigning Olympics Champions Ma Lin.

Ma Long defeated Ma Lin by games to with scores 11-6, 7-11, 11-9, 11-3, 11-9.

Ma Long the Chinese National Champion. Can someone stop him in this fine form! On route to the final Ma Long defeated rival team mate Zhang Jike and Ma Lin defeated Wang Hao.
