One thing I think would ACTUALLY be really useful is darnner123 posting a video of what he is doing when he tries to loop backspin.

Pretty hard to help someone who may not know himself what he is doing right and wrong.

If he had got the info already presented which is top notch, he may actually be just trying it out and going, "wow, that worked, thanks guys. It had nothing to do with standing up all the way or not." But that has not happened so he may not realize that he has not implemented the suggestions. It is really hard to see your own stroke. So often what you think you are doing and what you are doing is totally different unless you are used to analyzing video footage of yourself.

I will say two things about standing up ALL THE WAY though. If your legs are bent and the weight of your upper body is foreword (which is how it should be) then straightening all the way up would cause your upper body to move back, away from the ball and that is not what you want. You want your weight moving forward. So, most likely, standing all the way up would be inefficient because you would be moving away from the direction you are hitting he ball. That would effectively give you MUCH LESS POWER even though you are wasting much more effort.

The second thing about standing all the way up is, it would mean you have to get all the way back down. That is a big amount of wasted effort when, the ball is on your racket for a fraction of a second and the important point where you are using the power from the legs is that moment when the ball is on the blade face and it takes WAY LONGER to get from all the way crouched to all the way up than the time the ball is on the racket. So the rest of the movement that doesn't happen while the ball is on the blade face is WASTED EFFORT.

So THE TIMING of the torc from the rotation hips and the pressing from the legs and hips, would be an issue but not doing a full squat thrust.

All this is more of an indication that seeing footage of you would help people help you.

But, my bet is, the arm movement isn't quite what it should be even if you think it is. And the timing of your use of the body is probably either too early or, more likely, too late.

Good points Carl, that is why I advised to explode up to around height of crouch (or a little moar would not kill you)

I don't really think about those technical aspects when I BH loop, that would mess me up. I can think of something like "oh shyt ! That ball is heavy, better get down and go up a lot"... I can handle thinking that deliberately, but worrying about some small part of the stroke would really derail my freight train.

oh cool, i am interested :D

may be you realised it already:

i have posted a tranings video where i play against a robot. the backspin i adjusted was very heavy, so i had to swing the backhand as fast as i can to bring the ball over the net. very exhausting :D also there some different camera positions to watch it, may be that helps a little bit to get an idea of how to do it. but i have to say that my backhand is not really safe... have to practice more.

and your requested movements by hitting the ball with backhand topspin are also in there. i do this automatically because of... i don´t know :D

and another video, that people like NextLevel and Carl know because it was a funvideo. so i slowly become a spammer, heheh.

but here i recorded all with doubled frames per second (50fps), so the movements are smoother in slow motion. may be you look at it. the backhand i do at first so after that you can quit watching because it is more a fun video than a tutorial :D
Omg ur backhand is sick xD!!!
