Yasaka Rising Dragon, max, red. jury is still out weather I like it or not. :p

also, sold Hugo ALX (just to hard for me, probably because of koto top layer) so I needed a replacement and as it is hot summer I went for some ice cream. :p Xiom AZXi, more out of curiosity but am actually really liking it. still trying to find the right rubber combo. it did arrive with Hurricane 3 Neo 40 National BS, but didn't really like it.

Somebody gave me a H3 National blue sponge today. They had it lying around the house and never use it.

I can tell its from an older generation because the surface is much tackier than modern H3. I can pick up the ball for a few moments.

I think i'll test this out unboosted a bit and then try some booster on it for fun. Without booster I can tell the rebound is very very low.

Just got this. Thanks @mocker88 .

Sanwei Nova Carbon 87g after two thin layers of shellac. Seems to be fast judging by bounce and frequency (by ear comparing to a known blade) a I judge this to be in the lower end of off+. A little too fast for me yet. Build quality is decent no worse than other Chinese blades. The top surface is very smooth. There is also a little flex so it is probably a good looper. There handle is not the smallest but I will need grip tape…

It will be quite some time before I get to test it.

Also some cases this one and a dragon one. It very light weight and I wonder how long it will hold up, but is very cool looking…

Cheers
L-zr

Just bought a brand new 88g Butterfly ZJK ALC off FB Marketplace for only $240 CAD, which is extremely close to the retail price of the other BTY outer ALC blades like Viscaria and FZD ALC. Honestly a steal at that price considering BTY obviously stopped making the ZJK blades

I got a HAL and a Cybershape Wavy from TT11. Still haven't done the hard work but that day is coming...
One of my clubmates got a HAL and I tried it out over the weekend. It's a pretty nice blade, doesn't seem to play very different from my FZD ALC. Both have a more woody feel and more flex than the Viscaria. He had D09c/D05 on it so I used the D09c side to test the BH and I felt very little difference there. It's harder for me to tell re: the FH side as I use H3 so it's not a direct comparison, but it did feel like it had a little bit more dwell than the FZD when hit really hard, though not quite as much dwell or power as say the Q968.

Gozo would start with 2,3 (ultramax). Stop impersonating him pls...

OK, I recently bought HAL with R48 (FH) and R42 (BH) for a friend. I was not sure which rubbers to take, but nearby team recently bought about 10 of these rubbers, and also the shop told me they are quite popular, their "flagship". Curious about NL's HAL impressions...

As a guy who always loved soft rubbers i feel that the HAL benefits from a somewhat harder rubber. I'm using Dignics 05 (~50ºESN) on FH and Xiom Vega Korea on BH. Albeit i loved the Korea on my Harimoto Super ALC it feels its a little bit bouncier on the HAL. Might go back to some 47.5º rubber for BH.

I actually got to try to Wavy and that thing has soooo much speed packed into it. Felt like the ball came off it as soon as it touched it. Excited to hear how you like it! Of course you might not think of it as fast as I did, this is coming from someone who has been daily driving 7 ply all wood blade for awhile :)

We should be testing shoes rather than in addition to blades and rubbers 😄

Love at first sight before even putting them on? Miyu Nagasaki's new shoes help her rise to 14th in the world rankings

At the WTT Star Contender Ljubljana table tennis tournament held in Slovenia in June, Miyu Nagasaki (Kinoshita Aviel Kanagawa/Mizuno) won the women's singles title, marking her first Star Contender victory. Her impressive feat, defeating three consecutive Chinese players, propelled her to a career-high 14th place in the world rankings (currently 15th). There's actually a story behind her victory. Nagasaki's feet were powered by Mizuno's new Wave Medal 8 shoes at the tournament. Mizuno's Shigeyuki Tamayama recalled when he first showed her the design, "She said, 'It's so cute, I want to try it on right away.'" He added, "Not only was she impressed by the design, but when she actually tried them on, she said, 'It's amazing, I want to wear it right away.'" The shoes were originally scheduled for delivery in July, but after receiving Nagasaki's request to wear them immediately at the WTT in June, adjustments were made and they were delivered in time for the Ljubljana tournament. Tamayama explained, "The deadline was quite tight, but we were able to deliver them to the staff who were joining us on-site." Nagasaki, who won her first official match wearing the Wave Medal 8, commented, "The comfort, grip, and fit are better than ever. I feel even more secure underfoot." Nagasaki has found a new "partner" amid a busy schedule of international tournaments. Her quest to break into the top 10 is likely to attract even more attention.

I can't open the link because Yahoo Japan says it's no longer available for Europe since 2022.
Which shoes is this?

Haifu National yellow booster and a 2.2mm provincial orange sponge H3 neo just arrived at the door.
First order of business, see if this booster can break the most unwilling commercial sheet that just doesn't really react or come alive with normal Seamoon.
I want to know what I'm dealing with, booster wise, before I try it on the provincial sheet.

First impressions, not that different from Seamoon. A little thicker I guess but they're both pretty slimy. Hope to see a fair bit of deformation.
