Soft/Hard: Soft

Spin: Lots of Spin

Throw: Don't know what that is...

Speed: A lot !

This rubber is very popular! Is very tacky and got a great feeling. I've heard that this is one of the closest options to the speed glue!

Durability: Approximately 2 month( playing with it 5-6 times a week)

what rubber?

Short review of
Tibhar Nianmor

Hardness: Hard --> A bit heavy

Speed : Faster then Tenergy 05, almost equivalent with Tenergy 64 (subtle difference by Tenergy 64 being a bit more bouncy thus a bit faster).

Spin: Great amount of spin could be imparted with the correct technique (as much as tenergy 05 but not the fx version ).

Throw: Medium-high throw --> Slightly tacky topsheet

Pro's: Great looping-hitting rubber with high gear (lots of variation of strokes could be applied without problem). Extremely fast esp. when reglued.

Con's: Very very unforgiving rubber. Those without proper technique will have a hard time using this rubber. Paid off with the pros though.

Conclusion: The competitor of T64 from Tibhar it seems. Its not a tension rubber however. Very very fast and spinny. Great for hitting or looping, typical looper equipment. Blocking is easy as heaven and counterlooping with it is always a joy. Ive been playing with it for 2 months without performance drop (I suppose) even though I played like 5 times a week.

Price: 40~ euro

Table Tennis DB (data base) has reviews of almost every blade and rubber you could think of, from a variety of people. They have almost all the products listed. If a product is missing you can add it. If there is no review for a particular item and you have used it, you can give a product review. This is a very useful forum and well organized.

This is a link to a whole host of people reviewing inverted rubbers:

http://www.tabletennisdb.com/rubber/

This is reviews of pips out rubbers from that site:

This is a link to the reviews of blades from the same site:

Thx Carl.
Ive seen some of the reviews.
The problem is that only some rubbers have been reviewed by more than 30 people or so, making it a bit biased.
So yeah, we could add the review there or we could make our own rating center here in TTDaily.
Numbers can lie and is relative. So the best review must be included with the users' experience with it.

There are different Haifu Shark rubbers. I am currently using Haifu Shark Speed on my FH and it works very well for me. It is not very fast indeed, but neither too soft for me. I prefer this rubber on my FH above any of the Tenergy series (Maybe with the exception of 64). I think you can get okay speed with it and it is very good for serving and a short game as well. However I should note that my FH is not my strongest side, which is the reason I don't use a very hard/fast rubber there.
Haifu Whale seems to be the harder/faster version of this rubber family, some of my clubmates use it and are very excited about it. As far as I know the Haifu rubbers are like € 25 though, so maybe we are talking about different Haifu's ;). But just so you know certainly not all Haifu's are bad rubbers.

Yep thats the one I tested I think.

Haifu shark speed with yellow sponge and with the grey vacuum package.

I should have mentioned that I'm not used to tacky rubbers.

For me this rubber was not very good but to say rubbish is a little too much I agree.

I play with the xiom rubbers both side boosted so the difference between haifu shark speed and xiom is big. I also tested the haifu shark speed on a petr korbell off blade, next time I will try it on a carbon blade and see how it goes. But I'm not really a fan of this rubber.

I'll see if I can figure out where I bought this rubber and ill give you the website then, because the price here is 12.95 euro.

Okay, yea its with yellow sponge and grey package. I use it on Boll Spirit, a carbon blade. Maybe that explains the difference in experience. About Xiom u are absolutely right. Their rubbers are really worth trying.

Guys, i've just changed rubber for my FH and BH. I'll only review the one that I use for my my FH since it's a new rubber.

Name : STIGA CALIBRA LT PLUS

Type : Very Hard

Spin : Good spin but not as spinny boosts tx

Throw : Low

Speed : EXTREMELY fast, ideal for power spin (speed & spin)

Pros : Excellent for fast attack close to table( bcoz of its low throw) and extremely good for far from table attack. I don't have to open up the racket so much to produce loops to clear the net from far. Yet, it provides wonderful control in slow games, receiving serves push and chops. I can even chop fast spinny topspin far from the table. Excellent feel.

Cons : Only for experts. To get spin, one must have power. Not for loopers.

Durability : Don't know yet. Just got it for a week. LOVING IT!!!!

Conclusion: Only for speed demons with racing license. I use with Stiga Optimum Carbo blade, and speed of the ball nearly broke the sound barrier. Ridiculous speed, super control. Blink, and you will end up picking up the ball at the back of the hall.

Yup Yosua, it's a super rubber for me at least. Exactly what I was looking for. Anyone can hit it hard and get the pace, but in order to get the spin to go with it, you gonna need power. Played with a mate of mine who uses Tibhar Dtec, he couldn't even cushion the shot, the ball just shoots long over the table. Far from the table shots are just magical..pace & spin, and very low. RIDICULOUS!!!! :D

Name : BTY TENERGY 05 FX
Type : Medium-Hard
Spin : Good spin, topspins can have very much effect if you have good technique
Throw : medium
Speed : for me, rather slow, I cannot develop a lot of speed with this rubber.
Pros : Good for close to table, contra, block, lots of control. Very much effect at topspins.
Cons : Very unforgiving, you have to play correct technique in order to master this rubber. Also when going away from the table, the rubber is too slow. Also pushing is a disaster, no control and the balls go high a lot. I've never felt good playing this rubber, and I won't use it again. I played with it because I could buy it for 20€ from a friend.
Durability : Playing 2-3 times / week : 5 months.
Conclusion: Not for me, I have to do too much effort in order to play great topspins. Good for short game though.

Has anyone tried the Xiom Omega IV Pro or Omega IV Asia? How about the Omega III Asia?

I would be curios to hear what people thought of them.

I played with the Xiom Omega III Europe and it was great in spite of how soft it was. Lots of spin, speed and control.

Yasaka Rakza 7 SOFT :

SPIN Superspinny, serves are deadly, chops powerfull, loop with sidespin ridiculous...
TYPE Soft
SPEED Fast, not extremely fast but fast enough... This rubber is for looping with spin , not for fast loops...
DurabilityGood, after a month i noticed the red rubber became a little darker but the surface is still stikky so no problem yet,
I play with it since 2 months and it's still as good as new.
Pro's The spin off course, it's a fantastic rubber... I have it in 1.8mm and the control is great.
If you 're a looper, try this one (in 2mm or 2.2 because 1.8mm is a bit to slow)
Returns are also funny because you can put so much underspin and your opponent will not expect it

Contra: Nothing for me...

CONCLUSION: awesome rubber...

Hi Carl, currently I'm using Calibra LT on my BH, but 2 weeks ago I was using the Omega IV Asia on Butterfly Sardius for a week. The equipment belongs a mate of mine and he wanted me to try it out and tell him what I think of it. So here goes :

NAME : XIOM Omega IV Asia
TYPE : Medium hard to hard.
THROW : Low to medium
SPEED : Very quick but not as brutally fast as Calibra LT Plus. Please take note that I was using Butterfly Sardius.
A forgiving rubber, good for blocking, better if using slower blade.
CONTROL : Excellent control on short games, quite tacky. Medium to close of the table rubber.
CONS : Game wise, none. A bit slow for me, and throw a little high to my liking. I like to stay far from the table, therefore I had to loop quite high over the net to my liking, otherwise the ball won't be able to go over the net.
OVERALL : A good rubber offering super control. Reminds me of the ever green Sriver.

On what blade are u slappin the rubber on and what is your playing style ? Distance from the table ?

These details are needed because one's weapon may not suit another.
