Is it possible that people started to find ways to play against anti?
Of course. No one is doubting that. But Sabine is older (33) and her level also varies because of the amount of forehand she has to play. Bernie did a lot of things extremely well, the moat obvious one being that ahe played her backhand down the line a lot to avoid the trap of exchanging backhand to forehand with a pivoter. And with Kaufmann and Han Ying, Winter might not make singles.

But all that said, Winter can play better than ahe did against Bernadette. So the next championship events will be key. Kaufmann already beats Winter and Winter beats Han Ying ans Han Ying beats Kaufmann. And clearly Kaufmann is likely a lock. But a lot can happen in 2 years. Thrre are still two more years of Euros etc.

I think Winter should change to long pips to mess her opponents up ( just kidding)

WS R16
Winter WR9 (8) 0-3 Sato WR13 (12) (-11, -6, -4)
I thought Winter ate HY for breakfast?

3W13L since the switch in 2025. 2W5L in 2026.
JNT: Winter for LA28!

Ended in 3 for real this time. Added 2 wins for a total of 3 since the switch in 2025 (3W12L), with 3-1 and 3-2 over Hirano and Hashimoto. 2W4L in 2026.

Not much if any advantage over Kaufmann and HY for WS of LA28.

As Wolf11 mentioned over at TT-NEWS, 2 of her 4 defeats recently happened before her herniated disc. It's clear players have caught on and made things harder for Winter and how she will drop to WR20. Getting injured again should be regarded as a warning sign of players forcing her to take risks more than she can manage.
