Yup, I use it with all my blades. Doesn't take a lot, so a can lasts forever. Just be sure to wear disposable gloves and work over cardboard or something in case you spill some. Apply in a ventilated area and let it set for 24h before gluing rubbers.

Not sure the varnish in your amazon link is the wipe on type as it might be too thick. The one I am using is this: Minwax Wipe on Poly It is thin enough that you can easily use 2 or 3 layers and not worry about it affecting the feel of the blade.

I started using the DHS blade sealer after having a great discussion with people in here and it has been going all fine. Just in case you were looking at water based sealers :)

And yes, most cheap, weak or very fine top layer blades need to be sealed, from bad personal experiences ;)

I used to use the minwax poly wipe but I prefer the thinner and more uniform spray.
