Some photos don't have the black frame on the bottom and top, only on the side. Maybe it is because of different sizes of your input? Like if the photos are 'taller' than the videos you get the videos with black bars around them to get the same size of output? You should try to make a simple video from only 1 input video and see if you still get it, so you can test this.
