Haha yeah I think we were very lucky in this department Carl Even after the attempt we both didn't need to go to the toilet. We drank 2 sips of water when we woke up and that was it. And a few sips of Lucozade during the attempt. Haha! Yes I can always have that over him, I won the point! It will be interesting to see if his results improve, his backhand may never miss now

It's funny Dan. I was at a local league match last night and a couple of people were chatting about this "world record rally" they'd seen. I said "what do you mean Dan and his dad?" and they said "yeah...that' the one!". I obviously don't know you personally, but it felt like I did yesterday when they were chatting away. I wasn't even involved in the record attempt and I felt proud of you as I sat there haha.

Ah Ha! This could explain not only the world record, but Dan's silky smooth technique and his ability to work without sleep.
When I see him tomorrow I shall make a close examination of the "skin" behind his ears and when I find the join I shall peel it back to reveal the metalloid skull of robot Dan !

I think this was an amazing effort and for a great cause, but I would like to put out there that the 1984 Guinness world record was made by my room mate Richard Bowling and his friend Rich Dewitt. http://books.google.com/books?id=sBlNAAAAYAAJ&focus=searchwithinvolume&q=Rick+Bowling

They've tried contesting the previous record of 8 hours and 33 minutes, but GWR would not accept their book as proof of evidence. Even though to even get into the book you need notarized documents of witnesses etc.

I would like to ask that TTD campaign to correct this mistake? I feel as though there could be two classifications since back then the record was with a 38 mm ball and this record was with a 40 mm ball. Perhaps recognition is all that I ask on behalf of my friend.

Considering their World Record of 10 hours and 9 minutes hasn't been broken it seems unfair to let it go.
