Hey guys, here’s a new 1 set showdown with TableTennisDaily Academy coach Tom! I'm sure you've also seen Tom feature in many of the TableTennisDaily equipment reviews, and in a lot of the comments we often get asked to challenge one another. So here it is guys!

arffff nice game Dan. very entertaining to watch.

I think you can get him, but you were a bit too shy, you didn't step around often enough IMO, when you did, you most often won the point. When you wait too much in BH diagonal rallies he played to your wide FH and scored many winners.

Generally you have very good balance, and your BH has good control, but I think its generally too flat, there is not enough variation in pace/spin/placement so Tom is comfortable from his baseline, it feels like a drill for him.

Lastly, apart from a very few points you were not very agressive in both serve and receive. (he wasn't either), and you didn't try reverse side spin (BH serve, reverse pendulum, shovel or hammer for example), maybe its more difficult for him.

But I'm sure next time you'll do better so I will vote for you to win.
