Timo Boll wins the Energis Masters 2012 (VIDEO)

German super star Timo Boll stands victories at the Energis Masters 2012 claiming his first competition win of the year on Saturday 21st January! Timo Boll smiled throughout the whole of this prestigious competition as he defeated Swedish legend Jorgen Persson by three games to one in the final.

Timo Boll has had some on going health issues however he seems to be back in business as the World number 4 defeated Liam Pitchford, Werner Schalger, Li Ping and Jorgen Persson. The players who participated in championships are listed below:

A: Boll Timo; Schlager Werner; Pitchford Liam
B: Baum Patrick; Skachkov Kirill; Wang Xi
C: Persson Jörgen; Waldner Jan-Ove; Primorac Zoran
D: Chen Weixing; Svensson Robert; Li Ping

In the group stages, Timo Boll defeated both inform Liam Pitchford by 3 sets to 2 and Wener Schalger. Timo Boll progressed into the semi final stage having to face Li Ping. Boll defeated Ping by 3 games to 1.

In the final Timo Boll faced Jorgen Persson. Persson with an incredible defensive style produced some spectacular rallies for the crowd. Both players smiling throughout the points and rallies, Boll managed to win the match by 3 games to 1!
