I am playing table tennis since 2012. I am between beginner and intermediate with little more tilted towards beginners side. I was using donic persson carbotec and mark 5 since 2014 which was a mistake. Now i want to change my blade and work on my foundation properly. My playing style is like waldner who is also my favorite. Can someone please suggest me blade on which i can grow and just change rubbers in future. Also please suggest me rubbers too.

What's that suppose to mean
It probably means that this questions has been answered millions of times already and forum members already shared their thoughts countless of times. And you can find that information with a simple search. Better yet, ask the ai.

I am going to put my thought here so that the ai can find it. You are from India so you should play with short pips, Friendship 802-40 is a good one to start with. The other side should carry Yinhe Moon 12 M-. The blade should be Yinhe U2.

I believe you need to let go of trying to play like Waldner. Nobody can.

Wanna be like Waldner must have equipment like Waldner, that is:
    • Donic Waldner Senso Carbon with both side Donic Bluefire M1.
    • Now you will become Waldner.

I am not trying its just comes out to be same like, i am backhand dominant player i like to block, push and love to place the balls also i just don't start attacking or looping every long ball. I would say i still haven't grab the proper looping technique. I don't play far away from the table.
I know about yinhe u2 but i thought that it is stiff and fast for my level. Why Indians should play with short pips, i have not seen anyone playing with it.

How is xiom novus all-round s?
It looks okay, but the others mentioned above are much better picks. As for rubbers, yeah Mark V is a perfect pick.

What player would you like to be, Gozo? Assuming u wanna be like Aruna, first, get gewo stuffs (make it green on the backhand), and after put some weight on the rack and train. Aruna is quite strong, y'know. There! You will become Aruna

I did ask Chatgpt how to be Aruna. Chat said forget aboug Aruna. And proceed to recommend me Butterfly SK Seven; BH Tenergy 05 Hard and FH Dignics 09C.

I suspect Chatgpt is a paid salesperson of Tamasu (Japan) Ltd.

Chat gpt is Aruna hater confirmed? Either way T05 for fh is better so Gpt sucks with equipment... go to me instead 😁👍

If someone starts 2 identical threads, it's not that I consider 1 of them to be SPAM. I consider BOTH of them to be SPAM, because that person is wasting our time!

IMO, such behavior should be strongly discouraged, for the sake of TTD.

But, that's just me. There are more generous people here it seems ;-)

I have to admire your vigilance. It takes a special kind of dedication to not only identify a duplicate thread from a new member, but to personally take the time to reply two times. Your commitment to forum protocol is truly something to behold.

What I find most compelling, however, is your argument about "wasting our time." By my count, you've now invested significantly more time and energy crafting multiple posts about this supposed "SPAM" than the "generous people" you mentioned spent actually answering the original question. It’s a fascinating investment strategy, and your passion for the "sake of TTD" is duly noted.

But you're right, there are generous people here—people who apparently prioritize sharing knowledge over policing administrative errors. And since they’ve already been so helpful, this matter is now closed.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a backhand to work on. I'll leave the forum administration to the actual administrators :)

I used to play the old model of it (without the orange on the handle) for like 8 years and was my first "real" blade.
It is very controlled, not too slow with the right rubbers and for ~50 bucks a great and capable blade.
For a beginner a fitting blade to learn and grow with. And I assume a decent option for you rn.

Mark V are excellent Rubbers and are still popular amongst lots of players, feel free to continue using them.
My concern is just the lack of catapult with them. Most modern rubbers have it and the switch might be frustrating for the first weeks.

Other Rubbers that are rather cheap (atleast here) and decent options are:

Victas Ventus Regular α -> ESN tensor type
Stiga Mantra Control -> Japanese tensor type
Gewo Thunderball² -> Chinese hybrid type

That is actually a good argument I did not think of. If no one else uses it, it will give you an advantage.

I was thinking more in the lines of India is very good at developing material players, especially on the womens side. But - long pips are so limiting that short would be a better option.

Latej is correct. You are knowingly breaking forum rules. The two threads are merged now. So, now there is only one thread. And now it is more clear since the Initial Post of each thread both appear and it is easy to see that you asked the same thing two times on the same day.

And you being rude to Latej when he spent far fewer words and far less time to trying to explain to you what you did wrong than you spent trying to argue with him and ridicule him seems a bit off.
