I’m a long distance chopper with long pips on my backhand and inverted on my forehand. Whenever i play matches and i get a shot to my backhand, i notice that they are way too high and short giving my opponent an easy smash. My forehand chops are fine but if there is a way, please tell me how i can get my backhand chops lower.

You are reaching to much for the ball. Move the legs closer to the ball and it Will not be high.

Have trained with a chopper for over ten years. This is his problem when the ball gets to high. When he does this he comes under the balll and Do not get any Power so it flies up.

What Lula says is spot on. The best piece of advice I've received from a coach is that I'm supposed to "reel in the ball". That parable really clicked with me (paired with the additional advice to go on to youtube and study how Linda Bergström times her chop).

Also Feel important to use the body alot in the chop. Like the forehand loop. The arm can make all kind of strange stuff. Proably also more important för defenders to really play with legs and not the arm, to really work to the ball. Stand wrong and the ball gets high and you Will get destroyed.
