Time to get a new sheet man. Fish scales out already.
I had to take that out of a cupboard, since it is a special H3 as John S is claiming it exists

well, that is a national version, but it is actually a top sheet labeled Hurricane 3, but it is really just my personalized DHS Hurricane Tony

Myth? Dude, look at slow mo, except if you're both blind, I can't understand how we're seeing different things. Ma long's ball leaves extremely low with very open bat angle. Compared to fan zhendong, that his racket is a lot more closed.
I think it's just a question of technique. If you loop with the racket at an open angle and moving forward, you create a low and straight arc that is faster. If you loop with a tighter angle with a slightly upward swing you create a higher slower arc.

ovtcharov and freitas tRuStWoRtHy enough?
you gave me a link to carl, of which the answer from that 2016 post is, H3 - 37 Deg sponge
In Carl's text he talks about special softer sponge version of Hurricane 3, but it still uses the Hurricane 3 topsheet.
So this is very non applicable here to what John is pointing out

John is saying a none Hurricane 3 topsheet/pimple and/or sponge - a totally different rubber that has a Hurricane 3 badge on.

What Carl is saying is no different to Lin Yunju using a harder sponge version of T05 (which later became the T05 Hard)

But Lin is still using a T05 topsheet.
its like John saying Butterly made a special topsheet and rubber for Lin, but DHS (or Butterfly) is dumb enough not to commercialized such "super special" rubber.

You see, he doesn't believe Ma Long or any of the pros uses H3 national rubbers, with special sponge adjustments.
So I named my special rubber the Hurricane Tony, and Ben has his as Hurricane Ben - since our pimples are showing.

The other thing to know is that, the rubbers they are using, on both FH and BH, Dimitri Ovtcharov and Marcos Feitas have both said they can't get them. Pretty hard to get the real thing.
in 2016, I would also struggle (at times) to get national hurricanes,
Not to mention, DHS was testing 37 Deg sponges back then and it wasn't a commericial product yet.

But you know, we are in 2023 now, everyone can get DHS - they opened up to everyone for a long long long time already.

I still remember Thomas Keinath wanted to buy my rubbers off me in 2017, because mine was 2 months old (from manufacturing date).

So, I won't be surprised back in 2016/2017, Europeans would struggle, but tell me they still struggling today, I will laugh very loud

True, but it's absurd for him to suggest that the chinese use off the shelf rubbers when they are known for getting an edge at every turn possible, from ma lin caught boosting to wang chuqin litteraly taking a photo with his racket and black oil showing in the background! They are also all sponsored by dhs and stiga, the actual team I mean, it's the reason they all play hurricane 3 and some of them use stiga blades. The clipper is a good example, tons of chinese use it. And of course Fan, Xu and Liu were all sponsored by Stiga and had custom blades, similar to what butterfly does nowadays with the custom blades, for example with dang qiu butterfly writes that he uses a custom super alc blade. It's all about getting the upper hand, Hu Heming says it all the time, all pros boost, he's an australian national team player.

It's normal too see the pimple after boosted. Not just the player's, if you boosted new h 3, with 3 layers you will have the similar rubber.
It's not only that, yes pimples will show, but their rubbers are completely matte, they have a different texture than common hurricanes.

Heming Hu also says himself in his videos that whatever he(as DHS sponsored player) receives and we can buy in stores are almost identical, non of us is probably able to notice the difference.

I am talking about hurricane 3.

And yes, Ma Long would probably still beat everyone on this forum with cheapest H3 boosted with a couple of layers of Seamoon.

I (again) don't get the existence of this discussion. If you're already willing to spend the money - go ahead and try, see it for yourself, everyone's skill and feeling is different.
If you're not ready - why bother ?

This is true. Practically speaking, H3 commercial should be good enough for most players.

But its just a game, and its fun to feel what playing with pro's rubber feels like.
